After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Anyone here know if Shinta had a archive site?

Oh I definitely don't subscribe to any particular scene. It just happens to be the genre I listen to my most. One of all time favorite bands being Splashdown.

Just so long as you aren't one of those stuck up indie kids

I pretty much am across all genres. I have so much music I can listen to music nonstop for an entire year without hearing a repeat. Though I seem to spend more time with indie music and local bands.

I listen to a variety of genres ranging from Sara Bareilles to The Dillinger Escape Plan to Monty Are I to Baracuda

They really are. So are you a metal fan in general. How about other genres?

Just wondering if anyone can recommend decent screencap software that is also free?
Want to grab frames off anime series both from DVD and avi format.
Thanks!

For DVDs, I use VLC as they support DVD playback (right-click and save SNAPSHOT). Don't know why my PowerDVD's camera function does work.

For AVIs, basically you can use printscreen, or any players that supports AVI like PowerDVD (Hotkey C), BSplayer (Hotkey P or Shift-P), VLC and Zoomplayer (I think you need to set which hotkey you want).

Or you could just disable Directdraw acceleration, then Print Screen will work.

I would reccomend VLC. But the thing is though you will have to set it up, meaning what directory to save the files to and what format (let's you pick between jpg and png I believe). pretty good program I 'd say. You could also do a print screen and get a screen capture but using vlc is much easier IMO.

Much easier than copying and pasting? Okay.

I have tried printscreen before but turned out black, figured printscreen button isn't meant for videos.
Thanks for that guys, have downloaded VLC will give that a go. A friend of mine recommended Fraps - I haven't tried it though I heard it's pretty good as well.
Thanks!

I'm not quire sure about what programs everyone is referring to here, but I personally I just use my DVD player program, which has a capture feature. once it's captured, you either have to paste it into a blank image or direct the images to a folder. Either way's pretty easy.

Yeah but the DVD-Capture Programm saves into BMP Bitmap File and not into JPG, and I don't like that, that way I'll be wasting time to convert those BMP to JPG's, damnit !!!

In VLC, when you are playing a file, right click and you'll see the below menu.

Just select SNAPSHOT. I have already mentioned that in my first post.

For dvd movies i use powerdvd and it works well and for other formats like avi, ... i take screencaps from Bsplayer
and it's good too (just hit P or shift+P and it saves images on it directory).
Someone told about Bsplaya; is it Bsplayer ?
May be, i don't know.
I didn't know too that vlc can do that; i'll try it out.

I load the video into VirtualDub (free) and it has the feature of snapshot saving. Plus the snapshot from VD is always 1:1, not stretched like you would probably get it from a screenshot.

Thanx for the Tip... I downloaded the latest version of VLC Playa which had the feature of Snapshot... unfortunately you don't have the possibilty to change name of the files, like in BS Playa.

So in other words for screencaps I would recommend BsPlaya...
