Google Chrome Impression
Anything better than M$IE is good good good.
Except for a few vulnerabilities in Chrome, I like the simple design (its base on safari webkit engine). its pretty much google inside out. Just hope this project wont be beta forever like others Google project.

I have downloaded and installed it for webdesign purposes, to test if my websites still look and load the same as they should. I think, as long as a website sticks to at least transitional W3C standards, there should be no problems.
But I'll still use FF with its nice addons and skins. ^^

Chrome is nice for a bit of quick browsing but for me at least if I have to do any long term browsing the functionality of the Firefox plugins outweigh the speed of chrome. Chrome for speed Firefox for function.

Meh ... it's Webkit / Safari? (but it still has some of the vulnerabilities of the old version.)
So what's next ... Google Os will be like Leopard?

Hmm... good thread, this was interesting. I haven't tried Google Chrome but I'll give it a shot when they actually release it. For now I'll stick with Firefox.
Indeed,it is quite fast and quite simple/user friendly. So that makes it just another browser heading for the browser wars.According to news Google Chrome was so famous on its beta release that it captured 1% of the global market with its beta only
sweet hun.I cant wait till its final version ^__^

I see Google Chrome as a browser to get you to the internet with absolutely zero fuss. A good browser for the casual computer user, but for a geek or power internet user Firefox is still king.

I thought it was nice.. but I'm sticking with Firefox.
Firefox 3.1 beta is almost as fast and they say it's going to get faster when they release it.

I think we should be careful with Chrome. Google is a wonderfull finder but a Google browser seems a bit risky in my opinion.
They could spy everything we do on the net!
I think theirs to many browsers out there, i mean why do we need another?

I tried out Google Chrome the other day. I was definitely
impressed by its design and aesthetic appeal. And I thought
firefox3 had it down. But for some reason chrome just
refused to work properly on my computer. I have a normal
xp, updated in software and everything, but chrome
which was supposed to be fast was taking much longer
than my firefox browser. So despite its great qualities,
chrome just didn't work for me. If it does work, great
for you.

Well, it's always good to have the choice. And competitors against themselves is good too.
My only concern with Chrome is the privacy.

It looks pretty nice, A few things tho, Im not sure if mcafee toolbar will install on it, And does the google toolbar go on it o.O, If not thats kinda funny since its a google product and if it couldnt have the google toolbar, But yea its pretty good for being a beta, It works with vista using the transparency so it looks sexy :D, And it seems pretty fast. I wunder what security threats there could be with it tho? And yea its pretty open, doesnt have a bunch of features, Im not sure which would be better tho... to have tons of cluttered features or have it nice and clean.... Hmm... Ne ways thats all I got to say.

Right now, Chrome isn't really a beta.
It probably can't even be called an alpha.
This is because it is more of a technological experiment - it is vulnerable to the carpet bomb attack (a WebKit problem) which was fixed in later versions of WebKit (fixed by Apple, evident in newer versions of Safari).
There is no add-on capability yet, and thus nobody can start writing add-ons for it. Somehow, somebody already released Greasemetal (similar to Greasemonkey in Firefox), and thus you can run some scripts at the moment.
It's not very useable, but at least it's better than IE? After all, almost anything's better than IE. -_-;;
At the moment, Firefox is still much better. Especially since you can customise FF to include almost all the 'improvements' Chrome has (except the V8 js engine, which is already beaten by the latest FF beta nightly build).
All in all, Firefox will implement all the good things Chrome has (better js rendering, separate process for all items - see 'Prism for Firefox', etc.), or already has it available in some shape or form (for Speed Dial, there are the following addons: Speed Dial, Fast Dial and Auto Dial; only the last automatically builds a list of your most recently visited sites, but it sorta looks a bit ugly atm).
There's no need to go to Chrome. Stay with FF, as many of the people who worked on Chrome are working on FF too.

Well, I'm impressed by the speed but the fact that it doesn't yet support add-ons is a huge turn off.
