Google Chrome Impression
I tried Chrome for the two weaks as my only Web-Browser and...
I was disappointed because many internet-places had problems with chrome, specially around the school.
The speed is excellent, the concept too. But still it needs work and test. Perhaps keep it like firefox or lolifox XD (I really like it too).

Google is continuing trying to conquer the world with Chrome. They can claim every content submitted via Chrome as their own and it's already known they want to create some kind of portal where you automatically get all sorts of adverts where Google get paid for and that you can click to buy something. It's a brilliant plan, getting people to use your browser by featuring very high speed, but I believe in the conspiracy behind all of it, so you won't see me using Chrome as long as I live.

Overall I think its pretty good. Only thing i dont like is downloading stuff off Chrome. Very annoying. Otherwise I really like the design.
GMSniper07All i can say is 10mb or RAM used when 150 tabs were open compared to 33mb of RAM used for FF3 for 1 tab. But still i like my lolifox =D
Lolifox? Lol?
Wait. It does exist!
So I finished reading the majority of your guys' impressions of Chrome. I had been putting off giving it a try but here I am with it installed and I've only been using it a couple minutes and wow--I am impressed. It loads AP like a dream. FF3 would sometimes lug along and I'd have to close it and reopen and reload, but so far so good with Chrome.
I'll continue giving it a try and perhaps it'll become my default browser. Thanks for having this thread up otherwise I wouldn't have thought twice about it. :D

Actually the only problem I have with it is it doesn't block ads like Firefox does. For the longest time I didn't know what people were talking about when they said this site had ads on it, at least not until I got Chrome.
Chrome has some interesting idea's but for the most part, it's nothing new. It does however handle Javascript very well. But it's just another 3rd party browser thrown into the mix that wasn't necessary. Firefox, Opera and IE are the heavyweights... the most time, effort and manpower has been spent on these... so Chrome has a tough walk ahead of it. Who knows, maybe it will turn out to be a competitor later on, but it's simply not there yet.
Also, I forgot the mention that there have been several major security exploits discovered in the browser and it is not a very safe way to surf at this point. Test it at your own peril ^_^

Haven't downloaded it yet but I think that I'm going to try it now it sounds quite good
Chrome is interesting enough. It's a slick browser and I think it'll help push all browsers to improve upon themselves faster and follow all standards. We saw how Opera and Firefox made MS smell the roses. IE7 was better then IE6 by leaps and bounds but was still subpar compared to Firefox. IE8 is very very nice in reality. I'm using the beta on my laptop and I must say I like it. Don't know if I'd ever use it over Firefox but it's very nice. It's fast too.
I will probably NEVER use Chrome in the long run. I don't like Google's EULA. The fact that the EULA states you have to allow it to auto-update is BS and there's a few other statements about data mining and advertisements that bug the hell outta me.
I did love the interface and the speed. Firefox 3.1 will match the speed. I just hope they break tabs out into their own processes. I love that feature in Chrome. I didn't care for things like the Omnibox though.
Oh the interface has already been duplicated by extensions and themes for Firefox. ;) The way to Chromify FF is here: http://lifehacker.com/5059213/turn-firefox-into-a-google-chrome-clone It only works on Vista because it needs Aero but it's pretty slick nonetheless. :)

Chrome for me is very fast but I prefer Firefox over it IMO. I just love Firefox's plug-ins too much and who can blame me? Ad Block and Firebug are very useful. ^_^ I do hope that they release Chrome for Mac soon.

I've given it the run-through for a few days on each build so far, but can safely say until things like ad-blocking on sites i don't want them on and such can be implemented and it's released on mac/linux, i'm not about to use it as my main browser.
i love the concept and the way it's been done so far though, i just wish it didn't have it's own crazy theme for xp, it sorta blends in on vista, but not totally...
and i'm so glad it's all open source, as other browsers will improve just as much because of this.
gogo chromefox :P

I'm using it now as default browser and I'm pretty satisfied with it (it's technically still beta though).
Basic review:
* It's not sickly fast but it's well up there in speed with all the other browsers.
* It's got almost all you can want from it (and all the popular features)
* Memory consumption being high is bull
* Does it start a lot of processes? yes
* startup is the fastest ever
* If one blocks I can close it right? no, if one blocks the hole browser usually blocks so the hole "tab freezes rest are ok" is bull, since you have to close it all to stop that one tab. Sometimes it works but you have to wait. It does have crash recovery.
* it has issues with flash, or (better put) flash has issues with it (currently) this is it's biggest drawback
* it's clean and easy to use

Google's going to need to really innovate to capture the browsing market
I hope this is as good as it goes, there are plenty of pee issues around (small problems to the non english), and once it gets settled, I might use a stabilize version as a default.
Nonetheless, I like my Mokoufox better, when it comes to download speeds and 4chan'org browsing speed, nothing can quite beat FF3 for now.
There is also the hide thread and down all function, as soon as chrome gets mainstreamed, and the down all function added to the add on as well as allow other functions I will use it.

I must say I'm impressed with what Google has accomplished through Chrome thus far. But due to security paranoia and the fact that it still seems to have slight issues with flash, I'm using FireFox as my default for now.
And even if Google makes a good browser, I'm not sure if I'd use the real version a lot. Simply 'cause I don't want Google to monopolize the internet, they are spreading out a bit much for me to feel safe. =/
