As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

I've been using anime paper for a while now, and I love all the backgrounds but I think it really ruins them when you have loads of icons on top, so I looked for a dock menu. I found rocketdock and really like it,I can keep all my icons on the bottom, looking nice but out of the way, but can still enjoy my background.

Rocket Dock - http://rocketdock.com/

Theres a link to a video of it in action,

My friend told me about this free software:

http://www.enterra-soft.com/download.shtml

It's the Icon Keeper and it helps to store your icon locations, so if you ever changed resolutions or something strange happens that rearranges your desktop, all you have to do is right-click on your desktop and go to "Enterra Icon Kepper" and click "Restore Icon Locations". The "save icon positions" is also in the same menu.

Easy fix

right click on desktop
arrange icons by
hide icons

HURRAY!!

and the annoying pests are gone!!

now you have an awesome icon free desktop

I have a dock and a bar with programs and shortcuts to folders so i dont really need icons on the desktop

and this way the wallpapers are perfectly sitting on my desktop without annoying icons in the way.

i know everyone knows this but if it helps a few then there you go.

if you want to see your icons again just do the same thing and click show icons

So I guess this is a /w/ discussion thread? I'm using LiteStep, Rocket Dock and Rainmeter. Also have Miranda IM with Yuki Nagato just for show. Renounced any form of icons and only visible things are a RSS feed from Rainmeter and the taskbar, everything else on 90% transparency or auto-hide. Because I love my Reisen-chan...

You could take a look at "fences" from stardock, it's still in beta stage, but it's quite nice way to put icons on your desktop without using a dock.

here's the homepage if your too lazy to google it:
http://www.stardock.com/products/fences/index.asp

What i love is that a double click on the desktop will hide the icons, also settings you can change the way it looks.

Tell me if you like it!

Rocketdock can do this too if you install the stack plugin
