After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Windows 7 is an excellent upgrade. One of my friends tried the beta version of it and it works beautifully. Windows Vista isn't bad either since I'm using it now and I've never had problems that people were speaking of. It's just a matter of configuring your computer correctly. So if you're going to stick with Vista for a while, that's not a bad idea. I was going to stick with Windows Vista even if Windows 7 is coming out but my friend gave me tip. If you're a college student in the United States then you can legally buy the Windows 7 upgrade for $30 as long as you prove that you're a student by providing a .edu e-mail address. Not a bad price if you ask me.

Vista and 7 which one better
Upgrading OS should be better but in Vista matter is different Vista is worst than Xp, Xp is more reliable than Vista although Vista has some awesome feature but that feature is nothing without system reliabilities such as Xp even though Vista has release some SP support but still meaningless none like Xp the new release would be better than the previous one in Vista there is some problem in hardware and few in software so to recover this float Microsoft release Windows 7 which is work perfectly well and have some better change than Vista though Vista is release in 2007 now they are releasing 7 but Xp has a long age now the system should be dead in 2007 but now it will be prologue to 2010
Window 7 is better and faster I've the RC and it really is faster but it has some big hardware to able to use it, 7 is good I say

Two questions.

What are you smoking, and where can I buy some?

Seriously, though, what the hell?

Explain how XP is more reliable.

Explain how "XP has a long age now the system should be dead in 2007 but now it will be prologue to 2010". None of that makes sense. None of it, your dates are all completely made up. But if you can explain it, go for it.

I've been testing Windows 7 from beta. That isn't to say that I don't like Windows Vista and XP. Vista broke in a few places, and that became a problem if you were an institution or had some old hardware. Most of that has been fixed with SP upgrades for Vista and the rest are fixed in 7. 7 has some stability improvements and a slightly smaller 'footprint', but the changes mostly lay in GUI enhancements.

Ultimately, do your own research and see what fits best. If Windows Vista works okay on your system, then don't upgrade. If you are having problems or want the new GUI features, than upgrade. You should know that there are several options in upgrading Windows and that you don't have completely erase your system and start over. You can reformat you hard drive and start from scratch, you can install Windows 7 in parallel with Vista, or you can do in in-place upgrade (which I don't recommend). Its up to you.

I used vista since it born. I think it's the microsoft 's worst os. Vista is a product that replaces XP with no reasons. XP shouldn't replace by vista. Vista acts like a testing OS .I hope windows 7 won't disappoint any user

By your logic, we should still be using MS-DOS 1.0, since each successive version was "with no reasons".

Good thing you're not in charge of anything important.

I assume you didn't have the joy to do tech support for Windows ME.
I rather have <censored> <censored> with a cactus up my <censored> then to work with ME again.

Been running Server 2008 R2 and 7 RTM for a while now and I have to admit they don't annoy the hell out of me like Vista did.

You seriously know NOTHING and you're scared of change. I can already tell you've never touched Vista or Windows 7. You also haven't bothered to research anything about them. You've done nothing but read blogs by people who likewise know nothing and you believe their FUD. XP is a slow insecure pile of crap now.

Go read up on these:

UAC
ASLR
Superfetch
AppLocker
Bitlocker
Bitlocker2Go
WDDM 1.0/1.1 versus XPDM

That's only scratching the surface with the improvements over XP.

I say -- don't doubt 7 and just go for it, there are some great deals for 7 out right now, it's a lot cheaper than Vista ever was and also slightly better, even if you don't need DX11 I'm sure you will appreciate the security updates once Microsoft ceases updating XP which will be very soon.

Here is an honest advice.

Don't jump into a new OS as soon as it comes out.
Yes it might be better, cool features and blah blah blah and all that shizzle
and gizmo.

After the release it's best to wait 1 or max 2 years before upgrading.
By then most known issues would be solved, hardware and software support would catch up and be of no problem at all.
And you'll remain sane not going batshit complaining about problems you might have.

New isn't always better.

Just because it's new it won't increase performance by a staggering amount.

Be smart, don't jump all over it because it's shiny, wait
research, know what you want, upgrade.

Yay! More FUD spreading! I love FUD! Oh wait...no I don't. The whole wait for SP1 is such BS.

Moving to anything new is fine no matter when you do it. You are going to have issues no matter when you upgrade unless you do your research.

I moved to Vista a week after its release. Guess how many problems I had? That would be NONE. Vista has never given me any problems because I did everything in my power BEFORE upgrading to make sure everything worked. I then moved to Windows 7 RC and have had zero problems. Guess what happens October 22? Windows 7 and still no problems.

There are plenty of tools free from Microsoft that look at your hardware and your software to see what is compatible and what isn't. This isn't rocket science. All those tools are right on the Windows 7 homepage. They'll tell you what software or hardware may cause you grief. Then it will offer solutions. Software might be as simple as upgrading to the latest version or finding a better alternative.

Pfft, wait 1-2 years. Might as well just be like the government and wait 10+ years between hardware/software upgrades at that point. Save you a crapload of money.

Yeh good mate.

It's not FUD it's called being aware.

What i said was a general advice about switching to a new OS.
I didn't say anything about windows 7.

I tried RC and it ran just fine. Doesn't mean I'm gonna jump and upgrade to 7 when it comes out.
If you think instead of going on blabbing how awesome it is to buy the OS as soon as it hits the shelves, you'd know why.
Same with anything, just because a newer version exists, doesn't mean I need it.

It's great you had no problems, good on ya. Give yourself a pat.

hatesyou

Windows 7's development has been mostly an exercise in restoring Windows' reputation. Vista launched a broken mess and although two service packs later most complaints levelled at Vista by the home user have been addressed, it's reputation has not improved. Microsoft have salvaged the situation by using the core and back end of Vista and to hasten the development of Windows 7.

Minor features aside, Windows 7 is little more than a re-written GUI for the Vista core...

Agreed with this first post. Basically, Windows 7 is just what Windows Vista should've been at launch, though to be honest, I've had zero problems with Vista.

I still can't conceive what difficulties and problems people have had with the Vista OS, aside from the basic UAC (which is easily remediable) and so-called 'backwards compatibility'.

As for the question of whether I'm going to upgrade or not... Since most new OS packages have exorbitant fees, not to mention the whole process of reformatting, I'll have to say no. Unless I get a new computer that comes with Windows 7, I'll stick with my problem free Vista. Thanks~
