What do I think? I think they're a talentless, generic, mill-churned glam rock band capitalizing on the "female vocalist + rock band" theme (to the point where they've turned it into a gimmick), pushing other bands (that actually have talent) out of the limelight. Of course, that's just my opinion.

I love Amy Lee Evanescence with flaming passion. ^^

I'm in awe of her voice; there aren't many who sing with the natural complexity of her voice, for those with either a musically trained ear or the time to listen closely to the different cadences in the songs. She's got the kind of song voice that pierces the heart and spreads outwards, filling you with it, sinking you in it.

Because of this, though, I think her voice is too majestic for rock. The songs where it's just her and a piano, or without some of the techniques used in rock songs, give her more credit and space to let her voice roam. When I first heard Bring Me Back to Life, though, what got me into her was the way she mixed elegance and rock into something anyone could love. That song is unique. But a lot of the others I've heard drive her down, it seems, such as with the male background singers (or background singers in general, she doesn't need them) or raging guitar. Perhaps it's just the band; it's just not her type.

I love her sound, and some of the band's song have really touched me. But I honestly think that she has an astounding amount of potential just waiting to be fully released, and it's the band that's holding her back. That's what how it sounds to me. =/

I like the music of Evanescence, but I must say, there are bands, whos music I like more. I only got a few songs, but the ones I've got, I like very much.

This band is really awesome, for some reason i just cant forget her songs,
this band is completely different from the rest of the bands that i have heard,
its quite unique, and change in everyway, when you come to think of it,
her songs are so much blended into our lives, that it seems that it fits on it.

I really like the way they blend so many different of styles of music. They have a very unique style, which is hard to find these days.

This is also my favourite band.

However, why haven't they had a new CD?

Can't say I love them.
I liked the first album enough to buy it but I got tired of them quite soon. Their songs sound way too similar and are not good enough to keep my interest

But that's just my opinion :)
