Instrumental or Lyrical?
Hmph, it depends on my mood... ...
Good mood and feeling high will listen to upbeat music.
Moderate mood and feeling like a kite with the string was cut will be instrumental ones.
Bad mood... ... instrumental will be better to let you cool down, calm your nerves. (relax ones)

WEll that's a tough one =/ i'd say that depends in my mood but i'm not the person the if i want 2 relax listens 2 instrumental music because there are really agressive songs so i guess i like each little thing that makes a good melody, from the lyrics to the rhythm and if it doesn't have lyrics it's ok with me a song doesn't need lyrics 2 express something
Instrumental music for the win!
there's nothing i like more than instrumental music
if i often listen to the lyrics it makes absolutely no sense what they are talking about.
and i mostly find it a waste of all the good instrumental music behind it.

Well lets say it depends. i really like instrumental music, especially while playing games or just to relax while learning. but i prefer lyrical music when i have to stand up for school :(. and especially slow songs which originally were recorded with lyrics are all time favourites for me without lyrics

I prefer instrumental over lyrical but a MIX OF THE TWO is definitely the way to go... i also find it weird how sometimes with the music being the dominant over the lyrics, people dont usually notice the lyrics behind them... like Panic at the Disco, their music is catchy, until you actually look up their lyrics and go... what? is this what i've been listening to this whole time? >.<
I say instrumentals. Almost always better than voice. Especially if the voice sounds worse than cats being kicked.
I like both.
Lyrics are nice to have, but when you listen to music that has guitarwork, drumwork, or other instruments, I think it comes down to that. Which is why I don't like rap or hip-hop that much, which is usually computer generated and honestly takes no talent whatsoever...Allthough many would disagree. :(
I usually listen to Hamasaki Ayumi so really, it can be enjoyed either way - but I myself prefer music with lyrics, just so that I can listen to words and not just the beat and melody. Plus, it gives me a good reason to sing it once in a while =)
Both instrumental and lyrical can be good, but if I pitted my favorite lyrical song against my favorite instrumental song, the lyrical one will by far come out as the winner. There's so much more meaning in words (to me) than just the flow of sound.

I love complex rock (Steve Vai Joe Satriani) Also love some of the crazy classical, Tchaikovsk, Chopin, Paganini etc...Never been big on vocals. I'm guessing 90% of all the music I've ever listened to has been without vocals.
If I wasn't a guitarist things might be different though.

I enjoy instrumental music when I need to take a breather, it relaxes me, or when I'm reading manga ;).
One of my favorite instrumental bands is 'This Will Destroy You'. No lyrics, just all instrumental. If you happen to look them up, look up 'A Three-Legged Work Horse', it's one of my favorite tracks.

Now I'm very much in anime OSTs which are mostly instrumental :)
I will say i choose both!i will think both of them are important for a song^^
Instrumental and with lyrics can be good too...
But I really prefer sweet songs with lyrics...
But I don't really care if it has lyrics, all I want is to listen...
