I've been wondering a lot of people I mean A LOT of people been telling me how Naruto's father is the fourth hokage and how he's the leader. Yondaime being Naruto's father is believable but I don't think he is the Akatsuki leader. What do you guys think o.O
Ok, me, I think that his father is not part of the Akatsuki...It may seem that he is but in the anime he seems kind of small to be Naruto's father to me...He seems as big as like 4feet tall...Thats not what he look like at the beggining of the show...He was like 5-6feet man...And why would he be after his own son in the 1st place, did he not seal the Nine-Tail-Fox in Naruto...Unless he did it for a reason so he could get to it later in the show like he is doing know...lol..I have no idea but I would hav to say that he is not his father...

Yep, it's the Fourth alright. He couldn't have picked up some child offa somewhere didn't he? (He sealed the Giant Kyuubi, right?) Nyahahaa...
Besides, the Third said that Yondaime wanted everyone to treat Naruto as the savior of their village which turned out nasty... (since everybody hated him.)

Yondaime seems like a much matured Naruto...

Naruto's father is probably someone related to the 4th or is the 4th himself. Im not sure how the notion that the leader of Akatsuki is the 4th got started, but I dont believe it. The plausibility that he could be Naruto's father seems to be pretty high in my opinion. Kishimoto will probably leave it as a complicated mystery untill the introduction of a few more characters.

Most clues point to the 4th being Naruto's father. Jiraiya apologizing to the 4th after throwing Naruto off a cliff. The 3rd claiming the 4th wanted Naruto to be seen as a hero and not a monster. Itachi calling Naruto the 4th's legacy.
I doubt the 4th is the Akatsuki leader. The only similarities are the spikey hair. His large grey eyes are clearly different from pictures shown of the 4th so far who has small blue eyes. The 4th given on most clues is dead. It is said the village witnessed him die sealing the Kyubi. The 3rd claimed the sealing technique the 4th used kills the user as it did to the 3rd on Orochimaru. The fact that Orochimaru tried to revive all 3 dead Hokage's in his fight with the 3rd further proves this. Sarutobi (the 3rd) in the same fight claimed that he had to stop the 3rd revival at all costs. This goes in line with Sarutobi claiming that the 4th was the strongest Ninja Konoha had ever produced.

Naruto's father being the 4th... well there is possibility. But as for the 4th being the leader of the Akatsuki... is something hard for me to believe.

Well, before there's already a discussion about the mystery of Yondaime and one of that told that in the scroll for summoning Gama Bunta (Yondaime's summon), the signature before naruto also written is Uzumaki-- that is between Jiraiya and Naruto, Yondaime's place for the pact--
though, there's something weird about that, but Jiraiya seems to know more about the relation of Naruto to Yondaime, wherein when he pushes Naruto to the cliff, he ask forgiveness from Yondaime--

one of them akatsuki acts and talk with a commanding power over all of them including itachi. that's why, there is the assumption of the existence of a leader among them-- but, that's just attitude wise implications, however, to weigh their power and abilities, how is he compared to itachi

My guess is that Naruto's father was not a genius, like kakashi's father was or the uchiha clan. Unless there's another hidden rule in the leaf village about Naruto's father, which will b another twist in the plot, like Naruto's father betraye the leaf village. Thats a bit too far fetched, but the mangaka never really developed on his parents (mom / dad) or sakura's parents too. So i guess nothing much is known from them :)
