I've always thought that Naruto looked an awful lot like the 4th. And everything I've seen so far points to the 4th being dead and gone, perhaps even sealed away within Naruto with the Ninetails. But what they decide to do in the future is up to them, they can always do whatever they like, and we'll still eat it up.

I have some doubts that the 4th is Naruto's father, but they are defiantly related. The writer couldn't have that in there just as a coincidence.

I really don't think he's at Akatsuki leader. If he really wanted Naruto to be protected because of the demon in him, he wouldn't go after him and his kind. It just doesn't make sense.

The 4th is probably his father, you can tell that by many things.
and for Akatsuki. i think it's the sand village third and most powerfull
kazekage whom dissapeard. Why would someone that mighty just disappear
witout a good reason,,

Well the author didn't say the fourth died while facing Kyuubi but...u forgot what Sandaime said.."Those who make a contract with the Demon king will repay with thier Soul" so it's the same as saying the fourth Hokage sacrificed his life to save the village..and for me..i believe that yondaime hokage is naruto's father..firstly..because of the wierd reactions of the people and itachi's words..he said "I have come for the 4th hokage's legend" when he looked for naruto while naruto was with jiraiya.. and tsunade,sarutobi kept staring at the 4th picture..and say wierd stuff hinting that it is concerning naruto.

Regarding the fourth being Akatsuki leader..it's impossible..first off why will naruto's own father want to catch naruto if he made sure that kyuubi was sealed in him in the first place?
secondly..his eyes are different from the akatsuki leader..the leader as shown in the manga, has swirls around his pupils and the 4th as seen in Kakashi's Gaiden chapter has normal blue eyes

It seems like the Fourth Hokage is most likely Naruto's father. I mean if you think about who else in the village would offer up their kid to have the Kyuubi sealed in them? It's more reasonable to think that the Fourth Hokage decided to seal the Kyuubi in Naruto because he was his son. Also, as many people pointed out, the resemblance is striking (yello pointy hair).

As for the Fourth Hokage being the leader of Akatsuki ... I doubt it. He's DEAD. Someone posted earlier on that it was never mentioned that the Fourth died sealing the Kyuubi. However, in the final fight between Orochimaru and the Third Hokage, two clues point to the fact that he did die. The first one was when Orochimaru started summoning the previous Hokages from the dead. The Third said that he had to stop Orochimaru before Orochimaru was able to summon the Fourth ... which means that in order to summon the Fourth, he had to be dead. The other clue was the sealing technique that the third used on Orochimaru. It was a technique that sacrificed the user in return for whatever he wanted to do. So there ... the Fourth Hokage can't be the leader of Akatsuki because he's dead.

Someone also made a comment earlier on about this but what happened to Naruto's mom?

but 2nd i deffinetly know that he isn't the leader of akatsuki, /c the eyes of the akatsuki reminds me of itachi's eyes but seem to look a level above itachi's and for anyone who truly followed the Naruto series from the old days, in the anime Itachi had said to Sasuke in one oof the flashback episodes when sasuke found the temple where the secret was hid about the makeyo** sharigan about how saying (the group he is in now - itachi - there is also another user of the sharigan there ) . see everytime we see the leader eyes of akatsuki in Naruto Shippuuden, i believe that guy is the person itachi was refering to........ Not The 4th.....

but also like many people have mention, there has been many comments mentioned about the 4th that stares towards naruto......

Hopefully - as the show go own, maybe that might got into detail or at least the past and give us some answers as time comes........ Everyone should know how naruto is good for going into FlashBacks of the Past.......

one thing also - We all Know Naruto is Aiming to Be a Hokage, If Naruto Was to know his father was a Hokage/ the 4th... that would blow his ego up and he act different, if not maybe cocky as if he is above everyone, if you get what im saying........

But one Question - Wht ever happen to the " Kakashi Gaiden Saga" , why was that skipped ? or will they get into that later on? If they do, Will we learn more about Kakashi's Past and maybe father ?

I think the "Yellow Flash" is indeed Naruto's father but he isn't the leader of the Akatsuki.
But then again I could be wrong ^^

It's definitely the 4th cause he's the only one in the village who was blonde and i think he wouldn't just put the 9 tails fox in any baby, he'd put it in his own son

manga had already colored akatsuki leader hair color and he is in red color.
but let see yondaime, his hair is in yellow color.

besides, akatsuki leader has wear some nose rings...i think yondaime wouldn't wear nose ring...

Yondaime's a very mysterious character.I don't think he's an Akatsuki's member though there's one we haven't known yet.But I'm sure we'll see him later.For example Orochimaru (when he'll be raised from the dead)) may resurrect Yondaime as he did before(with the1st & 2nd).Or may be he avoided death & still alive)that would be great)

I wonder why there's a thought about Akatsuki's leader being Naruto's father in the first place...

My friend was saying that Yondaime is one of the members in the Akatsuki, but I think not. That wouldn't make a lot of sense.

well,the truth is i jz wanna know more abt naruto's family and background and somehow if yondaime turns out to be his father,it kinda helps explains a lot of things,at least yes,why naruto was picked to be the kyuubi's vessel.

I expect here from kishimoto a good idea who could be Narutos father.
I dont think either it is someone we know.
I think it could be a person who we dont think that that person is Naruto's father but in the end only Kishimoto can say who is Naruto's father so i looking forward the day it cames to the moment who kishimoto show us Naruto's family^^.
