I think that the fourth hokage is naruto's father but not the leader of the akatsuki. The leader is an ex-rain nin anyway.

I think naruto father is the forth Hokage because in Konoha village the forth Hokage who have blue eyes and yellow hair like Naruto
First time I saw the 4th hokage, he reminded me of Naruto right away. I'm having a feeling that he's the father.
I don't believe that just because Naruto and the 4th Hokage share physical characteristics that this automatically makes them family, much less father and son. Case in point... Guy Sensei and Rock Lee look very similar, yet they are not related. I honestly think that Naruto's parentage might actually not be that important to the series and may never be revealed. In my opinion, what makes Naruto special is the influence of the fox demon's powers not his bloodline.
I must agree with Totoro. Naruto and Yondaime [4th Hokage] do look alike but probably not related. All throughout the series of Naruto and into Shippuuden, they never mentioned his family - I don't think they will, seeing how it's not important to the story-line.

We still have no idea where the storyline is going. Naruto's family is one of the biggest mysteries and interesting topics, having everyone wonder who his family is would be a bad mistake imo

It a possibility that the 4th might be Naruto's dad or it could be his big brother. I think the 4th might be the leader of the Akatsuki (The sealing of the Nine Tailed Fox could have been the a created copy of the 4th with a set amount of chakra in the copy do to the execration of the soul and sealing it).
I don't get all the stuff about the Yondaime being Akatsukis leader, IF he didn't die back then.. He certainly didn't become evil 
But on the other hand, I really think that he's Narutos father, it's just obvious. They look the same! And the Rasengan was Yondaimes attack first remember!

I will have to agree with the majority that Yondaime if that's how it's spelled is Naruto's Father. I did think for awhile that he was the leader of Akatski because he did have a striking resemblence to him but after reading more of the manga you can see its not him because his eyes are totally different. But maybe the leader is Yondaime's brother or something. It's all just speculation anyway. But yea thats what I think. Thoughts on maybe the leader being his brother?

Yea, I just finished reading it and I was thrilled the Manga finally kind of picked up the story again because it was seeming to lag. Glad they are discussing Narutos father and mother a bit now and sasuke is gonna fight Itachi finally!

Yea, the latest chapter mention about Naruto father and mother but wasn't clearly state that the 4th IS Naruto father. And there is a rumor that the co-leader of Akatsuki, Pain, will be like Naruto big brother or something.
The story went on a crazy way!
I don't think Itachi will be fighting with Sasuke though, if they gonna fight why not just fight there instead of wasting time and go back to the village that they are pretty much forbid to go back?

I think Naruto's father is the 4th hokage since I don't see why the 4th had to choose a random baby to seal kyuubi on it. It must have been something dear to him or close to him. Also Naruto's hair color and hair style greatly resembles him. This is just a speculation but I do hope I'm getting it right.
But I'm also wondering about akatsuki's leader, there are a lot of what ifs on this and I can't wait to see what happens next. I'm not a manga reader so I have no idea what will happen, so far I've only watched the series.
