1. Perhaps, that's just how he talks and he's implying he is Uchiha Madara? Also, the Japanese language can't be truely directly translated as certain words can have several similar meanings. It all comes down to the translator and what they think the correct meaning/word is.

2. That is indeed Uchiha Obito, and he was found/healed by Uchiha Madara. Or maybe he was never crushed to begin with, he was just buried and stuck. 'cause if you're entire right side was completely crushed, you'd be like...dead. Vomitting blood and unable to speak at all and then dead. You would have no organs or bones. Or at least incredibly flat ones to the point of uselessness, which would result in a non-functioning body and uhh...moving on. If what I said is true about that being Obito, then that would only make sense, since if he was only buried, his right eye would still be preserved. Hence, that would be the only eye he can see with. Although if that were true, I don't know how he could have obtained Uchiha Madara's Sharingan powers...and before Uchiha Itachi at that. Because didn't they say that you needed to kill your best friend to obtain the Mangekyou? Obito's best friend was Kakashi and (obviously) Kakashi is still alive. So far that is proven true.

Last night, I came up with an extremely crazy theory, hear me out if you're interested. It's about Itachi actually...

Anyway, I don't think Itachi was completely okay with killing his own clan. There was a guess earlier in this thread about Itachi already being a part of Akatsuki, and I think it's true. Basically, I'm thinking Itachi killed the Uchiha clan under command of the Akatsuki because the Uchiha clan can possibly pose a threat to them later. They were a very renowned clan and the most powerful in the Fire Country. Plus, since they were led by an Uchiha, he knew the extent they could grow under desperate circumstances. So he asked someone who can counter the Sharingan, Itachi, to kill them all.

Uchiha Itachi was also a prodigy amongst the Uchiha, being very adept at perception and shuriken skill. So, I'm thinking, he kept Sasuke alive on purpose. He did say something like "Hate me. Despise me. Then kill me." So he used that to provoke Sasuke on the road to revenge. Itachi probably also wants revenge on "Uchiha Madara" (quotes due to controversy whether that is him or not) for being asked to kill his own clan. He probably also feels regret that he had to kill off his own clan and hence, uses himself as an obstacle for Sasuke to test Sasuke. "Uchiha Madara" is obviously much stronger than Itachi, and Itachi knows this. So if Sasuke can beat Itachi, then Sasuke can possibly beat "Madara." Itachi is using himself as a test for Sasuke to ensure that Sasuke will have at least a small chance at beating his true enemy, "Uchiha Madara."

Uchiha Itachi has had a lot of chances to kill Sasuke and still hasn't, not to mention the initial chance when he killed off his clan. I think Itachi knew that Sasuke could become stronger than himself, hence he provoked Sasuke to gain vengeance. Once Sasuke is within reach of the final blow, Itachi will probably confess that it was the leader of Akatsuki who ordered him to kill the Uchiha clan and hopes to direct Sasuke's grown rage at "Madara."

So as a summary, Uchiha Itachi purposely left Sasuke alive to gain vengeance for their clan. He's using himself as a test for Sasuke, so when Sasuke can kill Itachi, he'll be able to kill Madara.

If you're wondering about his quote "I want to see the full strength of the Uchiha" that's just further implication that he's found someone who wields the original Mangekyou Sharingan to its full extent. So he's following them.

remeber the part that showing he and sasuke past that i can see that itachi is very likely to care for sasuke(well the part when itachi will usually call sasuke to 'came towards him' or something like a hug then he loves to annoy sasuke with pushing or something to do with his finger) well that is my point of view of itachi kindness towards sasuke

plus, in the recent chapter, itachi heard that sasuke was killed by deidara in that explosion and he stand under the rain as if he was crying, then kisame asked him if he is crying(sort of it), then he said that the sasuke is not dead and the storm is over(i don't remember exactly if he is smiling when he said that)

well, i also agree with you! i also think that Uchiha Madara told Itachi to kill his own clan...i don't that's true or not, this just my imagination...
well, we will know in future...no onehave seen Itachi kill his clan.
he just gave Sasuke see he kill his own clan in tsukiyomi.
but, who know that it could be just an imagination... by the way he can create whatever to let his opponent see...

I dont know if its been said but in the earlier chapters of the manga obito and kakashi were in the same group with another female ninja. However obito was injured and kakashi had lost an eye, then the female ninja had performed a surgery to replace kakashis eye with obito's eyes. Would this not explain why obito and kakshi each only have one eye? just something i read on another forum and thought i would lay it here

The kunoichi would be Rin. And uhh, Obito is presumed dead because in that chapter Rin said that Obito is crushed under the stones. And as for the eye theory, Kakashi lost his left by and Obito's left eye was the only one visible to use and remove. So the eye that Rin took from Obito was Obito's left eye. So that would explain why he's hiding it, but it doesn't explain if Tobi/Madara is Obito. Though, I'm starting to guess he is.

C'mon Tobi has got to be Obito but not Obito when he was small an older Obito around Kakashi's age.

I was very happy to see Naruto finally put an end to filler again and get back down to business... But i still gotta say that i still feel a little disappointed with the new strategy of slowing down the pace of each individual episode just to try and desperately avoid filler.
The overtly long pauses and needless drawn out shots of the landscape and peoples faces really hampers the intensity and feeling of excitement that were all use to feeling from either the manga or the original series (not counting filler). Then theres the end of episode "Omake-esque" skits that are really only there to kill more time. All and all, we were getting 22min of well paced action in the previous series where as now it about only 15 min or so of actual interesting and new content.
I know I'll watch it religiously even though I'm up to date on the manga, but I still have hope the the studio will shape up their act a wee bit and get back to doing things right!

I know what you mean, Naruto anime is becoming like Dragonball Z....it's gonna take at least 20 episodes for one battle...
