Yeah that sucks he had to die, he didn't deserve to die imo, he was one of the cool chars in naruto, although i thought his true form was totally lame, you gotta love the guy. Man once naruto finds out, pain is going to feel some mass pain, fox form fo sure
also thats cool that he was the one who named naruto, i hope we get some more back story later on as well.
overall good chapter, even though it was a bit sad at the end. poor frog hermit.

Wow, is there anyone left who can oppose Pein? I think there might be another time skip soon, I'm thinking that Naruto is the only one who can really beat Pein. Unless the Jounin of the leaf take each pain on1 by 1.
And maybe Pein will even end up taking Jiraiya's body?

Well, Jiraiya's death isn't in vain. i mean, he now knows the secret about Pain's true form and how he manipulates the battlefield with Rin'negan. but it sure is a surprise that Naruto's name comes from a shinobi Jiraiya created in his novel which Minato liked so much.
not that i'm assuming, Naruto was left with Pain's secret and the second seal for Kyuubi of some sort to use it's chakra without risking Naruto's life.
