What do you think Naruto can do to surpass Sasuke

After all the numerous fights its clear that right now out of the two sasuke single handedly defeated one akatsuki member and was at least at the fighting level of itachi and orchimaru (although both opponents were at disadvantages). With the fact that naruto's dad had body flicker is it not about time he learns it as well to match up with sasuke's speed and come up with jutsus that dont harm him physically like the kyuubi or his wind shuriken(although it isn't finished). Those are some of my thoughts but what other potential abilities could naruto have to at least be on equal terms with sasuke without the kyuubi
Naruto ... im not sure , cause he sorta relied on the Kyuubi most the time for his god like powers , now he wants to do it with his own physical ablities
and as for Sasuke , his opponents were at big disadvantages , Orochimaru was helpless considering his state ready to transfer , and Sasuke still had a hard time , and Itachi was going blind during the battle so thay was unfair as well not really fair

Let's remember he had the advantage of his lightening element attacks. You know the whole ground weak against lightening. Naruto does indeed need a new batch of moves, anyone else bored to death of the Rasengen-Shadow-Clone-No-Jutsu combo? I'm quite sure he'll learn body flicker at some point and probably improve on it with the power of the Kyuubi.

It is simple, first he has to defeat the Kyuubi inside of him, surpass his control, develop new techniques on his own. The maybe he should learn how to overcome Genjutsus, for what he learned from the deceased Jiraya Sensei is by no means enough. Surpassing Genjutsu is the key to victory. I think however that Naruto is by no means a Ninja who like to learn Genjutsu Mind techniques. His Character is too impulsive and to unstable for that. The Ninja Master who would teach him would need a lot of nerves to teach him those techniques and counter techniques...
Well by the looks of things all of ya have read the manga and know that naruto has found a way to learn jutsu even faster know so its just a matter of time untill he finds a way to surpass sasuke and with the help of itachi and everything he knows the process will take even less time naruto doesnt need to learn genjutsu all he need is a way to make sure that if he falls for it he can release it in one try and with out help if he could find a way to have complete control over the kyuubi then he wouldnt have to worry so much about the power hurting him

He sould be more training and not chasing sasuke,little joke.

I agree with you kaizor88, the fact that the author revealed who Naruto's father is, I believe is important. My understanding is that the rasengan (4th's signature technique) is an incomplete technique so maybe that is the direction that Naruto is moving in. I believe like the rest of you, he has relied to long on the fox demon's powers, he needs to tap into his own. He's unexpectedly smart and tends to think of things other ninjas would have overlooked during a fight, there is defintely the porential to even overcome his father. I honestly think that Kakashi spent too much time cultivating Sasuke's abilties and sort of let Naruto's training fall by the wayside, which is evident when Naruto returns to Konoha and finds that almost everyone, but himself, has achieved a ranking of Chunin or higher.
He will learn to make ninjutsu faster than everyone...
and of course, he will create a new fatal jutsu..

I dont think so he has maybe the kyubi but sasuke has the sharingan and with it he can controll thw kyubi once he have the Mangekyou sharingan and besides in the anime you can see that sasuke is able to surpress the kyubis power.
Thats why naruto cant surpass sasuke he learn ninjutsu fatser but he doesent stand a chance against the sharingan

Its been brought to my attention by other people i hav seen discuss a similar topic like this one that if naruto does learn yondaime's body flicker it may be all that he needs to know while i think this is a bit overexaggerated some of the points weren't bad. if he has such speed he could hit oyu at point blank range with a rasengan or any other jutsu without reataliation. Genjutsu wouldn't be a problem because it wouldn't be able to lock on an opponent who is going throught time and space as well as if naruto increases his fighting ability with the flicker not only would he surpass sasuke but the sharingan can not keep up and he will be almost impossible 2 deal with. Now some of these are overexaggerated but if you look at it it seems every character build on their moveset such as sasuke with lightning.
But besides your own opinions on how he can surpass him do you think if used correctly by naruto espescially with shadow clone jutsu body flicker could be the jutsu that pushes him to the top

I think yes if naruto could learn body flicker and combine it with both shadow clone and rasengan then their would be nothng except his technical ninja level stopping him from beign hokage but he would still need one more ultimate jutsu he would be unstoppable
if he trained with rock lee or gai sensai in tai jutsu that would probably help him alot for when he runs out of chakra

Haha they have said it a thousand times he simply is not a genjutsu based ninja... anyways he doesn't need to know genjutsu to be able to counter it he just needs to find a way to overcome sharingan and i'm sure he will!

Well, at the moment, what is Sasuke's goal? If anything, his goal is going to be to beat Madara who help Itachi kill the clan. He will probably grow even stronger sooner to match up with Madara. Naruto himself is pretty pathetic. We see him relying on Kyuubi's power a lot. I do not think he could ever match Sasuke without relying on Kyuubi. With that said, I think even Naruto in his 4 tail form would be on par with Sasuke. I can't see Naruto's induvidual power doing much, again.
