What do you think Naruto can do to surpass Sasuke
Well both of Sasukes fights were against a weak Orochimaru which he didn't really fight he just used his sharingan, and Itachis fight that Itachi was dying and also gave som of his powers to Naruto. And Naruto did take down Hidan by himself without Kyubi. Althought Saskue killed Deidara he used the Cursed Seal which would be like Naruto using Kyubi. I think if they fight now it'll be pretty even.

Naruto can surely beat Sasuke to a pulp. The only reason why Sasuke is stronger is because he has the cursed seal, and Naruto is stronger than Sasuke but he relies too much on the demon fox, in the shippudden manga Naruto has created a new technique and is now beginning to learn his element, which is wind, and before Jiraiya is killed by Pain Jiraiya realizes Naruto is the chosen one to beat Pain the leader of Akatsuki.

Of course, Naruto CAN surpass Sasuke, Sasuke is the favorite of the mangaka, for that reason que has the best powers and of all that things, but Naruto can do it, he is the best and he will surpass emosuke.
I think Naruto could surpass Sasuke, but that depends on himself. If he trains a lot and maybe learn how to control Kyuubi, he should be very powerful.

Yup i have i have been eagerly anticipating this since when jiraiya died as i knew that would be the catalyst that would finally push naruto over the top. I would not say he has surpassed those two just yet but he will. Dont quote me on this but i get the strange feeling there may be a lvl 2 sage mode in the future
Hm,... this is very difficult to compare right now. In the upcoming chapters Naruto would demonstrate us his acquired Sage Mode skills against Pain. But in my opinion Naruto has caught up quite a deal under the guidance of his new Master, so he could not be that far behind Sasuke because he's the hero and supposed to be the one who overcomes the seeminlgy more talented rival (Sasuke), and even if his acquired Sage skills don't match with Sasuke diversity of Genjutsu and Sharingans, there will still room and opportunities for improvement during battles...
What he can do... well, keep on working hard, be brave, believe in himself and follow the path as "the chosen One"...

Without the kyuubi naruto is nothing. he couldn't learn any jutsu without the kyuubis massive chakra reserve and his primary move kage bunshin is only useful because of the massiva chakra reserve. Naruto without kyuubi is like shikamaru without intelligence.

It won't happen until like, the very end of the anime. Once Naruto surpasses Sasuke his motivation to keep training will be gone.
No i think his motivation to get stronger will only stop when he becomes hokage not when he beats sasuke

I think he'll definitively surpass sasuke because sasuke's only one teacher is orochimaru. In the other hand, naruto has ero-sennin and ero-sennin's teacher

That was in the past. I mean with his new Master he learned quite a deal and he didn't need to use his Kyubi powers yet. I mean he certainly learned how to supress it and was getting better at it with the helpof his new Master. But for now we just have to stay put and wait for further outcomes.

You don't get power like that and not pass someone whose only claim to fame is that he let Orochimaru suck on his neck.
I share the same sentiments as Maxi in that the Kyuubi is not all his power. He learned to Sage by himself not with the Kyuubi's help. To be honest the kyuubi actually worked against him in that regard.
With the speed that he has shown against Pein so far, even faster than Pein who was faster than Tsunade, Sasuke is going to regret leaving Konoha.
