I wouldn't go that far. He might catch up to him and they'll have a fight reminscent of the fight that ended Part 1 but as for surpassing him, I highly doubt it too.

I think like gensy, naruto can not surpassed sasuke, he is the best shinoby for the moment. I love sasuke so i want to sasuke stay the BEST ^^

Mmm, Naruto will match up with Sasuke, and overpower him ... 1 reason ... anime is called Naruto after all. He is the main star of this show, so sooner or later he will catch up with Sasuke. It's just a matter of time, and will of narrators how long will they stretch the anime ...

btw i'm really not a big fan of Naruto or Sasuke as characters .. especially since on the beginning it is said that real Hokage must aquire over 1000 techniques ... and I've only seen Naruto doing Shadow clone 1000 times ...

I don't think he will ever surpass him as long as he has the kyuubi inside on him, due to the fact that sharingan users can suppress and manipulate the kyuubi chakra.

sasuke always seems to be manipulated whether it is itachi and now tobi into revenge by his elders although he is the genius when it comes to fighting but naruto although thick headed never lets someone else's thoughts manipulate him

and i think kishimoto is showing us that sasuke is definitely the weakest mentally of the two

I would say that is imposble. now sasuke has advance sooo much that naruto cant be compare. sasuke is faster, smarter, more ninjutsu, tijutsu, and also has sharingan and weird chakara

Well referring to what JabJal said earlier...I think Naruto might beat Sasuke who knows...there's more surprises later on. I mean the script can flip like that! who knows what Kishimoto is planning for later? xD

I think Naruto will become stronger but certainly not by the power of the Kyuubi. In fact, Kakashi once said that Naruto's potential was incredible since he has huge amounts of chakra, so what he really needs is to learn more jutsus. In order to do so there are some real possibilities (CAUTION! Serious Spoiler right here):

First, since Jiraiya already passed away, Naruto should be the one to become the next frog master, and that means acquiring some of the great techniques that Jiraiya had.

Second, it's time for the origin of Naruto to be revealed. I mean his father was the fourth Hokage and we all saw in Kakashi Gaiden that he had such powerful jutsus to the point he was mostly feared to be encountered in the battlefield. What kind of abilities could he have?, that is still a mystery.

So, I think it's not that impossible to Naruto to pair Sasuke, it's just that right now Sasuke is just all the way too strong, so it could be hard to imagine an even match.

Naruto is going to train with the frogs like Jiraya did and probably become much stronger. Remember during a flashback when Jiraya was a Genin on a team with Tsunade and Orochimaru he was the one that was tied up to the post during the bell exercise. Since then he's become a lot stronger and I think that Naruto will probably become incredibly strong as well even being able to surpass the strength Jiraya had. Jiraya's training with Naruto didn't go as well as I thought it would. Naruto still seems weak and hasn't really learned any techniques but he's learned to control the kyuubi which was really important and use the power of the kyuubi properly although the power of the kyuubi eventually consumed him when he met orochimaru and had that crazy battle. Now that he can't depend on the kyuubi's strength because he hurt Sakura, he has to find a different way. Although I think Naruto in his four-tailed form would probably destroy Sasuke, he has to defeat Sasuke while still in control of himself and that's why training with the frogs will help him to do so or at least fight on par with him and not just use the same technique since episode 1 to win fights. Sasuke could be in for a big surprise if Naruto learns what Jiraya was taught.
