Watching Anime:English or Japanese
Hey, I have a thing going on when I watch anime. I sometimes watch it in english and sometimes in japanese. So which is better watching it in, english or japanese?
Well the obvious answer to this (and I'm sure many will back me up on this) is Japanese. I started out watching in chinese then english and then the almighty original japanese. Some english dubs are passable but still not great. I think the culture and nature of how an anime is set is the reason why english doesn't work well.
Subbed would be the perfect word!
I agree with that, always is better the original, I mean, it was done that way so... it has to have more sense and expresion... soundly and colorful like the anime is, IN JAPANESE
The subs are another history, so time the sub DOES NOT say the same that the japanese, BUT it has sense on our laguaje that way and NOT in another
So... japanase SUB is really MY choice ^^U

Really, I think the whole Dub v Sub thing is played out by now.
A lot of the defense for Subs is that you get 'the real meaning' only from the Japanese track. However, I think we all know that even with Subs, it's still nigh impossible to transfer the meaning from Japanese to English. As for the unique references, that would only benefit me if could actually understand them. To that extent, I usually don't mind the Dub tracks.
That said, if the Dub is annoying the hell out of me *coughLoveHinacough* I have no problem switching it to the Japanese track. I've also started watching some fansubs...

Subs all the way...coze you can sing the OP and ED with their karaoke LOL
But yeah...if you can't understand Japanese, the best thing you've got is subs, since it's the original, like how car enthusiasts will go for imported cars. I kinda wished the Japanese studios that animate their anime would include subs themselves, otherwise I'd be willing to buy them. Then again, you're afraid whether or not the translation is accurate lol. Or maybe the American dubbers can include the original episodes with subs...actually maybe not coze that would defeat their purpose as dubbers...
Plus, by watching subs you'd learn a lot of Japanese. Sure you might not be able to write a simple essay, but at least you could pick up some phrases that are commonly used.

They usually do dual audio with subs. They'd be foolish to NOT include the Japanese audio track, considering they already paid for it and have more than enough room on the disk for it.
Japanese Of Course!! with subs!!
It really depends on the show and the company who made the seires, not to mention who is the dubbing the anime. I will usually go with sub; however, as everyone knows that the orginal is always the best way to go. However, there have been a few cases where the dubs is better than the sub. Two classic examples would have to Evangelion and Black Lagoon. I have seen both series in both dub and sub, and I have to save the dub series was better than the sub series. So for the most part it would have to sub, however in a rare case I will watch in dub audio.

As most people around here, I prefer watching them in the original version, be it the Japanese one.
Although there are some series (Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon...) that the first time I watched them was in the (European) Portuguese dub version, and I absolutely love it. Same goes for Rurouni Kenshin (personally, I think our version is the best dub version for that series). Those are probably the only series I can't watch in Japanese, but maybe it's just because I got so used to them on my own language that it just feels awkward when watching with different voices. For Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon, we had really cracked up dub versions! The voicing actors were really funny and played around some things making constant side jokes with our culture. It's quite epic over here, actually XD
I almost don't watch anime in English (since we have our own dub versions) but I'm not really fond of it... I think it usually comes out with really forced voices (not to mention the funny accent on Japanese names). Also, some series have their background music completely removed and replaced, which ends up ruining the whole show. However I must admit that Adult Swim series' dubs are getting better as time goes by.

Get your anime in .avi, watch these fansubbed, enjoy ADV not butchering the translations, and Funimation not butchering your ears for their horrible dubbed voices.
English for Crayon Shin-chan (I need to lol at English sometimes.), JP + subs for everything else. I have the subs before licensing anyway. :D
JAPANESE!!
I easily believe that english arent as good as japanese
the voices are done way better

I tend to prefer the Japanese version with subtitles, as it lets you see how it original was, as usually the dialog is usually changed at least a little, since it can't match the lip movement of the characters ^_^. Not that dubs all dubs are bad though, hehehe ^_^. I guess I don't mind dubs that much, unless they really ruin a story like Nelvana did to Cardcaptor Sakura.
I hope that someday, dubs are able to get a more true to the original dialog, as it will bring fans of the series together and not have to worry about the "what do you mean about that" parts of the conversation. Those who watch the dub so that they don't have to look at the subtitles, or so they can listen to it in a language they understand more will be able to speak about the same story as those who watch the subtitled anime ^_^.

I don't tan a lot encourage them that they already went by some type of Dubbing, I prefer the original audio (Japanese) and with a legend (logical ^ ^).
