Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

These are cases where Anime becomes extinct by default:

One of the ways that anime can cease to exist, which sounds far fetched and bad, but if humanity were destroyed. Their is a theory that if people consume the resources of the Earth at the rate we are now and fail to restore what we've taken, there will not be anymore humans on the face of the Earth as their is nothing to depend on. Everything that we use is made from something. Also, if oil is constantly being consumed and emitted into the atmosphere, there will eventually be global warming if it keeps up and Japan might sink (since it is an island); therefore destroying the anime industry. Of course there are ways to prevent these possible incidents from occurring, but most people just don't care.

Disclaimer- Yes, I know what I say might sound weird, but it is the truth and is related to the topic because if either case happens, anime really will be extinct along with other things.

WELL
Even right now, I see repetitions EVERYWHERE
Same typical animes coming out and out and out and out
If it continues like this, anime will become
(warning: scientific term)homogeneous and
will not adapt to revolution of, let's say, culture.
But, since it's a form of art, I think it's
pretty adaptable to changing world lol
only worrisome factor is that anime/mangas are like
99% Japanese... what if something happens
to Japan i.e. gets punished for their PM honouring war criminals
as he is fucking doing so right now?

I totally agree that, if for example Japan perished, so do anime.

And from what I've seen, the other mangas done by mangakas
from other countries don't really seem to compete with the Japanese
ones.

I don't know why, but the picture quality seems much
better than the others.
The plot was fine though. I was just hoping if they could draw
better.

A great man once said "There are no more original stories, only original interpretations." I liken it to the night sky; we perpetually have the same view, year after year, yet we never tire of it.

, human being, has no more
fiction left to thread.

never will happen, fact.
whether or not it is gonna be stinkily repeated over and over again till oblivion is another thing, but anime won't be extinct, there will always be new blood to watch, a new set of audiences, a new set of players and a new set of producers. who is there to say?

Now serious, what would people gain to get rid of Japanimation? Huh?... Nothing. Maybe there'll be another Art of Animation again one day which will fscinate us...

No, no.... Japanimation will live on 4 ever ... 4ever!!

So long as the Japanese race doesn't go extinct, then there will always be anime. It's quite simple, really...

Well I think the only way Anime would become extinct would be if American cartoons kept copying it! It annoys me so. Because if America keeps copying the style (i.e. Totally Spies) Japanese Anime won't be that unique and special, of course they would have a storyline but the youngin's won't be able to tell the difference. Ya know?

Anyway Anime won't end, that would be like Disney stop making 2D movies... wait...

Anime always adapts. It gives people what they want to see. Its style will change, its stories too, etc etc. Won't disapear before Japan does, and Japan isn't a country that'll easily be killed.

Anime has become way too much Pop Culture in the Western World to be banned. It's very hard to avoid, nowadays, and we fans made it happen, yeeeah! Be proud of it, everybody! Till all are one!

But still there are anime that does not fit in the "repetitious" type.
most anime we like are....well different from the majority.
There are not so many mech animes but the top 3 in japan in present time are mechs.
1st one of the gundam series (forgot which one, probably seed destiny)
2nd Psalms of Planets Eureka seven (for me this one is the most interesting, the whole surfing the sky thing)
3rd another one of the gundam series

Such animes that are not like the repetuous majority will never end comming, so basically anime will not extinct.
Besides before anime came in the US pople where watching (some still watch) just brute fighting for more than 60 years, perfect example the hulk. Turn green and smash all that is in front of you and turn back to human. And still no one got boored. And animes are way colorfull than that. :)
