This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Misunderstanding is the root of prejudice.. more like make him do walls and see if he can even have one accepted here..

Most pointless argument. My coworker thinks that these walls and VECTORING is just easy and takes no talent... -_-

I know there isn't a Megatokyo wallpaper section available yet, but I made these just because I happen to like Megatokyo. Or, mainly, Pirogeth, and would like some helpful criticism on these three wallpapers.

I know, I need to clean up the text a little, I was thinking of changing the text style, but wasn't completely sure, and I need to add my signature to them. But, other than that, is there anything anyone would like to pick at, or comment on?

Please?

Love the style, but you sohuld change the text... it's too square and pixelated the way it is now [is the 'Antialiasing' option for text turned on in the graphics program you use?]. Try using a different font, too, maybe something tech-like... whichever you like.

Other than that, I think your background is a bit too simple... You could add a fading grid effect on the left side and make the black strips smaller, and also add some brushing in the green area.

All in all, your wallpapers aren't too bad, but they need some more work before they'll look their best. Good luck! ;)

Ignore her advice, she doesn't see the beauty of simplicity that your work brings out. The steam clouds in the background are beautiful and memorable, much like the distant dreams of an iron clad warrior taking their last rest before battle.

Give a quick snip to the text and waterbrush it softly to smooth out the edges and it will be perfect. I love all three to death, especially the last one. It evokes dreams of the future in me. That said, I've already grabbed those beauties for use on my own desktop, and couldn't be happier with them. I hate this over complicated crap that a lot of people post, it detracts from the actual image and makes it far too hard to find things on the desktop.

I can't wait to see your other wallpapers, especially if they're at that beautifully near perfect quality already!

Excuse me, but I just stated my opinion. Furthermore, it happens to be in accordance with AnimePaper's quality standards. I don't think that simply using the 'Render clouds' filter and adding some black stripes and some text make for a wallpaper with even the slimmest chances of being accepted. AP isn't about simple wallpapers, it's about high quality wallpapers. Simplicity doesn't necessarily mean quality.

*nods in agreement*

I would have to agree with Odeena. While they are a good start for a wall, Taters and Pink in particular have given specific examples of walls that are "too simple", and sketch negatives on a letterboxed BG with stock fonts qualifies as very simple.
Using a stock image of some kind, or perhaps doing something fun like adding a drawing board and some pencils, eraser shavings, etc. would make a great wall. Also, I would have at least changed the color scheme. It seems kinda meh to just go green for all three.
Good idea, though! MT is great. I only read two web comics, and that is one of the two.

Regards, Aaron
