Good games, no recognition

List out some games that you thought were good/great, but most people might of not played it.. or overlooked it.
River City Ransom - NES / GBA (remake) - Double dragon style, fun with friends. You basically fight gangs get some $$$ and you can buy new moves + buy food (tons of different options, all foods give you different effects.. ie punch+1 strength+2, etc)
Fire Emblem - GBA, tactics type game with an awesome story.
Tactics Ogre - GBA, tactics game similar to Final fantasy tactics
Breath of Fire 2 - SNES, mix of comedy + rpg. Cool story involving a church.
Earthbound - SNES, one of VERY few RPG games that is set somewhere around the present time (minus the monsters =p), lots of comedy.
Seven Kingdoms / SK2 - PC, strategy game with lots of different enemies. You can make alliances with some get the strongest military... but if the other kingdoms think you're too strong they may ally up just to destroy you. You can also go on missions to destroy monsters to increase your reputation (people are more likely to switch sides w/ a better rep)
Warlords Battle cry 1-3 - PC, Real time strategy with sooo many different types of heroes you can make (yea you can pickup items too), in warlords 3 BC there's somethin like... 8 different races (or more).
Kirby Superstar - SNES, cool game with i think 5+ diff mini games. If you're gettin tired you can simply try another game. There's a samurai showdown thing where you test your reflexes, another one for checking your timing, a racing game, adventure game, and a RPGish adventure game.
Subspace / Continuum - PC, very cool 2d spaceship game... it's a free ONLINE game, with lots of different maps, settings etc. I play it all the time when i'm downloading (doesn't need much internet power). Check it out: <a href='http://download.com.com/3000-7422-10261822.html?tag=lst-0-1' target='_blank'>http://download.com.com/3000-7422-10261822...tml?tag=lst-0-1</a> , you need some quick reflexes / aim on the keyboard to be good at this one... might be a little complicated at first to learn how to fly.
Survival Project - PC, ONLINE hack and slash game, <a href='http://english.spgame.com/' target='_blank'>http://english.spgame.com/</a> kind of cool... you can buy weapons/armor and upgrade them using cards, 6 diff chars you can play ( you can switch anytime you want)

Silent Bomber (PS1) - <a href='http://animepaper.net/maggie/viewtopic.php?t=1055' target='_blank'>http://animepaper.net/maggie/viewtopic.php?t=1055</a> :ninja:
RAD: Robot Alchemic Drive (PS2) - ever wanted to pilot a huge robot? now you can and from a civilian's perspective, so you really get a sense of how awesome the robots are. the control scheme is really nice too. controlling the arms with the thumb sticks and the legs with the shoulder buttons. i want to pick this game up eventually... :bounce:
Gungrave (PS2) - maybe not a good buy at $50, but for $20 it's well worth it. bang bang bang! really fun game, but also really short. i think it has good replay value though... :hyper:
i guess that's it for my list... :ninja:

I never could understand the appeal of Earthbound, it always just seemed really stupid to me. But if you like that sort of thing you should probably try the "prequel" Earthbound/Mother Zero.
As for underated games, the Wild Arms series never seems to get much credit which is odd because they are quite fun and have excellent writing. Another would be Robotrek/Slapstick a fun little SNES rpg from Enix, its just too weird to really put into words <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo-->

In recent memory, I'd have to say Otogi (XBOX), Prince of Persia (all consoles) and Beyond Good and Evil (all consoles) are some of the most underrated games as of late.
Older underrated games I consider: NiGHTS (Saturn) & Vagrant Story (PSOne)

River City Ransom was awesome, we use to play that game in computer class.

How about River City Ransom's cousins? World Cup and Super Dodge Ball. They both used the Rivercity Ransom style characters and IMO were quite fun.
Although, my favorite NES game, and probably one of the most unheard of games I've encountered, is Dusty Diamond's All-Star Softball. Terrific fun to play with a friend. Especially when the player draft gets important when you discover who's good at what.

Bust-A-Groove
Mario RPG (yea, I know its mario, but no one knows this game really)
Skate Or Die 2 (possibly the most fun NES game ever. I don't care what you say about duck hunt!)
Tiny Toons: Buster Bust Loose
Yea I picked the wierd ones, but thats cuz you people already said the others!

Taltos> Ya, i tried the earthbound zero game on NES, kinda bored me and maybe you didn't give earthbound enough of a chance. It kind of starts off slow, I think of it as Mario RPG-ish humor. Robotrek, wasn't there where you build I think 3 robots then go around rpg style? Think i tried that, never beat it though.
Shrike> haven't tried "World Cup", but another game w/ the same guys is "Crash and The boys" (i think that's the name), that Game owns soo bad.. it's kind of like an olympic sort of deal. I tried the dodge ball game, cool at first, but gets repetitive after awhile.
Lord> not really my style of game, but i'll take your word for it that it's cool.
Crono> Mario RPG gave me a lot of sleepless nights when i first tried it, lol.
I've only tried Skate or Die 1, but it was a really fun game, so i imagine 2 is cool too. Tiny toons, i remember it faintly... i'll have to check it out to refresh my memory.
and i can't really comment on PS or better games, cause i quit w/ the whole console thing after snes. (although i've checked out a really small amount of PS games on an emu)

Gunstar Heroes. A badass, stylish, gameplay-o-rama platformer for the Mega Drive.
That was so cool!
Ooh! And also for the Mega Drive; Fantastic Dizzy!! :bounce:

<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->Yeah thats Robotrek, and I played through about half of earthbound when my friend rented it, it just didn't interest me is all.
Another decent game that gets a lot of crap is Secret of Evermore. Everyone whines about it because its not secret of mana and it was made in the US, because we all know anything that isn't from japan is of course horrible.

Primal (PS2)
A game from ENGLAND! wow! Weird huh? Great story, really good voice acting, cool game play and premise. The one bad bit was the controls were a bit wonky at times, and a few points it was really unclear where you could walk/climb and where you couldn't so you ended up trying everything.
But overall, very awesome game.

The Mark of Kri (PS2)
Probably the best game i've played that alot of people don't evn know about. I highly recommend this one. And I just saw there is a sequel in the works called Rise of the Kasai!

THIS GAME WAS SOO COOL~! Me and my brother would play this game non-stop! It was soo fun, but it was soon replaced by Metal Slug :faint:
Anyways,
Fire Emblem was soo un-appreciated, but it was an awesome game.
Some other anime based games where cool but under-appreciated, such as the Tenchi-Muyo RPG for Super Nintendo, Sakura Taisen, The Slayers rpg "Slayers Royal" for the Sega CD was also kicked under the carpet.
Anyone ever hear of a game called "Full Throttle"? This game was soo hillarious, I can't believe anybody wouldn't know about a game soo funny.

Yeah, Fire Emblem was really underapreciatted, more people wanted to play FFTA, well at least there will be 2 more Fire Emblem games coming out this year. Legend of Mana or any of the games in the Seiken Densetsu series were great along with the Grandia series (excluding Grandia Xtreme, I thought that game was horrible).
