Guys reading shoujo?
Manga is universal I believe haha. I mean hey, girls are reading shounen mangas, so why can't guys read shoujo? hehe. we are all human after all right?But it's nice to have a romatic as a bf ne? fine... i'm being to idealistic, but girls can always dream right? though personally... i don't really like shoujo that much except for a few exceptions like fruits basket! hehe. and i'm a girl! Give mi a detective manga any other day whee~!!

Would Love Hina be considered as shojo?

I'd consider LH to be shoujo/comedy so yeah but its not "hardcore" or anything like all love story, its mostly just alot of fun! I'm a guy and i'm a huge shoujo fan, whats wrong with being a hopeless romantic...not to mention the girls are all so cute!!!! heh

I got my previous bf addicted to shoujo - Karekano and Fruits Basket. Not such a good idea. After the horrible break up, he kept the manga! I had to buy it myself then <!--emo&:(--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Hahah jkI don't read much manga, but I would think I'd be attracted to shoujo. As of now, it seems all I read are mostly shounen...I think that the emotions that are conveyed in shoujo hit closer to home and seem to feel very genuine. Gotta love that.

<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->can anyone tell me wha exactally is shoujo and shounen? im kinda a noob at this
If i do recall correctly.. shounen = genres intended for boys i.e. action and shoujo = intended for girls i.e. romance and stuff but please correct me if i'm wrong. i think i read that somewhere.. probably on shonen jump ^^;

Hehe, I love Viz's definition on shoujo:shojo1. Manga appealing to both female and male readers2. Exciting stories with true-to-life characters and the thrill of exotic-locales3. Connecting the heart and mind through human relationships.I specially like #1. Talk about marketing.

<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->case and point, one of my two favorite mangas. Its not so bad, but it feels kinda odd when someone stares at you for picking kare kano off the shelves. But other than that, i'd rather sit in a corner and read shoujou. Dont get me wrong, i'm into shounen too, but hey, i'm there for the stories and the art that accompanies it.
