Yes, it's really happening. Although I'm a little sceptical whether this will be good, like I'm sure a lot of people are. However, having Chow Yun-Fat be part of the cast and playing Master Roshi is already a good sign. Also "Spike" from Buffy The Vampire Slayer to play as Piccolo might be interesting as well XD
What's everyone's thought on this? Will it suck? O_o

I've come to realize that all the live action anime adaptations have gone down the drain for me including Initial D and Speed Racer. The majority of animes that get licensed and dubbed overseas suck as it is, let alone the live action. They even managed to mess Initial D up, and Speed Racer...well I only watched the first 20 mins of it and I couldn't stand it any longer. I'd like to watch more anime live actions though just to get more inputs on them like Higurashi live action.

I'm extremely skeptical as well.
I don't think it'll be good. Creating all those fighting scenes certainly will be difficult, hence my opinion. But I guess I'll know better after seeing the trailer.

Oh man i just know one thing, just Japan can make good Anime Live action Movies.
It will be a disaster Imean hello Spike from Buffy, the Vampire Slayer maybe he is good in american TV shows or on stage with his Bnd but i doubt it that he even knows what Dragonball even is.
The best is to let the Japaneses make that Movies ive saw a lot Live Action Movies and the Japanese can act it the best way

I think this would be cool if it would be cool...and if it is born in pieces, you've got the anime. If it proves to be a masterpiece, you've got the anime.

Hard to say. I'm not a fan of liuve action movies, even not of japanese.
Actually the cast of this movie don't seems bad, but Dragonball is not something what could be shown as live action. Or it will be "overeffected".

Most of the live actions of anime/video games/cartoons just suck. I don't know how they do it, but I kinda hate all the live action movies. They don't follow the original story and a lot of changes are made to adapt the series to a movie Y_Y.

Please let me kill the guy who had the stupid idea to made a movie out of the dragon ball seies.They're crazy!!!They can't make a non-anime movie about DB.Have you seen the photos of the movie?When I saw the guy who's playing Goku I was just about to cry.What are they thinking?!They're running low of Marvel heroes and now they started to use anime heroes.Well, this SUCKS guys, that's what think.Anime characters CAN'T be copied into the real life.Anyway I just hope the visual effects will be good enough to give us some pleasure when we'll watch the movie...
