This was one of the shows that really got me into anime. The anime's ending was really bad though, but the manga's was good.Even now this is one of my favorite anime/manga ever made. I just wish there weren't any filler episodes and they animated the last story arc.
Rurouni kenshin.. one of my fav animes
the story was really cool! :D
but i think i like more the manga than the anime, specially for nobuhiros watsuki's style of drawing, those are pretty amazing ;3

The anime that got me into anime (and the Shinsengumi, but that's another can of worms)~
Even though the fillers got worse and worse, it still has a really special place in my heart. A bunch of my favorite scenes from any anime, period, are from this show.
And the manga is still my favorite ever (if you couldn't already tell from my username!).

This anime really brings back a lot of wonderful memories.. Ore! anyone? ehehhe The storyline is just superb and the fight scenes are just classic!

I loved the OAV's, especially the style they used for the animation. I liked it much better than that of the series.
I've read also most of the mangas, because I really like Nobuhiro Watsuki's style and character design, but in the end I got bored and a bit tired of the story, which seemed to me to apply the same schema over and over again...but still, great manga.

I really liked Rurouni Kenshin. The fight scenes are one of the best seen in anime and Kaoru is just so cute. ^_^ I didn't like how the tv series ended the way it did though.

This series is what got me into good anime. I loved the OVA's and the series in general.
Rurouni Kenshin? Personal notice, this was a horrible imitation of the; Rurouni Kenshin / Samurai X - 1st OVA (Tsuiokuhen, Trust & Betrayal).
The OVA was incredible, Kenshin's past, his struggles, and life choices made, falling in love, and having her warm his heart, followed by a betrayal.
The anger born from the little brother of the woman he loved, seeing her killed by Kenshin.
This gave forth to the other movie, and was also quite insane.
However no matter how beautiful the movies were, and they displayed alot more realistic, and more understandable struggles of Japan, and the legendary Kenshin.
But the anime went, and made it into another street fighter, and Dragon Ball Z...Calling out attacks, very poorly drawn art, the storyline which was simply ridiculous, and the ending where one kills all in an instant, where as Kenshin had to take the enemies out one by one, and had trouble?? Supernatural enemies?
This in my view was a horrible outlook, on the name of Rurouni Kenshin, and even the movie after wards was connected to the prequel I still liked that better then the anime.
I'm glad it was over, and not as popular.
This is definitely one of the series I don't recommend to anyone to watch after seeing the movies, for it will ruin your view of a very beautiful movie.
Drama, and historical influence in the movies was thrown out of the window in the anime.
No not a good one at all.

In my country is Samurai X, ...
Rurouni Kenshin rulls!
Rurouni Kenshin rulls!
After watching the anime TV series, my opinion on it sort of changed, I did enjoy the plot, and it was very interesting, and touching.
From the original point I saw this series, and opinion I based on a few videos, and some episodes, I think I'll have to say it isn't that bad.
In fact the Shishio storyline was amazing, alot of luck for Kenshin, but still after that, it seems kind of loose the origin, and go off into more of a super hero like story, and adventure, still quite interesting, so for my previous opinion I'd say it's worth watching, and time for me to go finish watching it!

I have watched this anime from start to end 3 times so far since I got it a few years back and I just started to watch it agian last night. Though I know what is going to happen in the end I always forget about the little intricit moments that help to make this show so great. From the comedic moments to the intense lessons to be learned and dialouge this anime definitely has it all. I will never get tired of Kenshin and the gang and all the adventures they have (ahh hemmm...except for maybe the 3rd arc...I usually skip this. haha).
I re-watch the anime after lesson on Japanese history. It really talks about many problems after the King Minji got back his power (the power actually is in other's hand, not King Minji). Besides love, the impacts of this event on Japan is much more: many samurai problems, people were poor and could not accept new techlogy, such as afraid of train and camera. It's a good anime and shouldn't be forgotten.
taringa ^.^In my country is Samurai X, ...Rurouni Kenshin rulls!
