Prince of Tennis

I don't know about you but I love Prince of Tennis and the wonderful selection of bishounen it offers.
For those of you new to the series the Prince of Tennis(Tenisu no Oujisama) focuses around Echizen Ryoma and the Seishun Gakuen Tennis Club that he joins. One of the nice points of prince of tennis though is that it also pays a lot of attention to the wonderful rival schools; my personal favorite being Hyotei.
There are also many musicals for Prince of Tennis, one animated movie, and one live action movie.
Are you a prince of tennis fan? Do you have a favorite character? Share it all here!
By the way, my favorite characters are Atobe Keigo, Tezuka Kunimitsu, Oshitari Yuushi, and Shishido Ryou. Just thought I'd share that

I am not a prince of tennis fan but an ardent admirer of Atobe .
PRINCE OF TENNIS!! It's the best!! It's such a great series, even though the tennis is super unrealistic, but that's what make it even better. Especially if you play tennis at a varsity or state level, you know how good the characters are at what they do. And ATOBE OWNS!!!

Yeah, I love Prince of tennis! (I'm playing tennis too^^) The characters are pretty cool and I like their different moves, Fuji beat em all!!
Yea, fuji is pretty good. He has the most unrealistic moves of them all put together.
Prince of Tennis, I love this sport anime. I learned many things from this anime especially about techniques in playing tennis.
My favorite character here is Kunimistsu Tezuka, I also like them all except Atobe.

I love Prince of Tennis. i am not very good at tennis but i still play it and somehow i learn how to play tennis from watching the anime...>.<. the anime is so funny and i am currently reading the manga too. although i am thinking that the anime is coming out very slow and i want it to come out faster...guess it can't be help
I actually only decided to watch those series because of all the bishies there..though it might *coughing* have some sort of a plot. I somehow decided to really like Tezuka, don´t really know why. Atobe sure is a great character too and him calling himself Ore-sama was just sooo hilarious...So I would recommend the series to any one who wants to see some action without blood and an idiot with a yellow mane of hair...

Prince of Tennis is long and entertaining. Even though the tennis does get unrealistic at times, but they still know how to keep it fun :) And the characters are more than endearing ^^ I would recommend it to any sports fan, the bishies are an added bonus :)
I think the manga is stronger than the anime as far as the game is concerned, i even liked some of the characterizations better in the manga, but the anime is still a must see! ^^
Oh, and Atobe rules :D

I liked the series, until the ending that really sucked.
Granted, a majority of the moves are unrealistic and fictional, but a few are just... what's the word... beyond realitistic? Seriously... a skud serve, Tezuka zone, drive A & B, etc etc etc. For god sakes, a Jack Knife is only a 2-handed swing... Also people can't jump that high!!
Meh, overall, I enjoyed it.

Prince of Tennis was an awesome series! A must see.
Speaking of which, I still haven't finished watching the entire series yet haha. But still one of my favourites, this anime actually got me into playing tennis in real life, and I've got to say it's a pretty fun sport even without all the crazy prince of tennis action (although it would definitely be interesting. ;D) Favourite character has got to be Fuji for me, < 3 the triple counters.

I loved this series. I'm a tennis freak and though I admit that about 99% of the moves they use are impossible to begin with or exaggerated beyond all reason, I was still a major fan.
It doesn't have to be realistic, the unreal parts of it made it awesome. Although, I have seen Kick Serves that were that good, but only a few and all from one person.
What I find so funny and ironic though was that the creator admits starting the manga series with the intent for boys to get into Tennis, and in the end, girls became the bigger fans.
I still love this series and have collected the entire anime series plus the OVA's, which were even more off the wall. Still, the basics of shounen manga/anime are there and keep it an addicting show to watch (or manga to read).
It's one of only two sport anime's that I have ever gotten into (the other being Eyeshield 21, gg more off the wall action!).
The really great things (besides tennis awesomeness) were the Omake's and character development. I liked near the beginning when it began to branch out from Ryoma, and started to show more story and development for the other characters, like Momoshiro.
The end of the anime was kind of awkward, but still exciting. Kevin was just weird. And the engrish was funny. Overall, it's a series which I'll watch many times, although sometimes for just one match or so.

Prince of Tennis is a really good anime. It's what got me interested in tennis. Very innovative the moves they come up with.
The anime didn't really do justice to the ongoing manga. If you've started watching the Nationals OVA you'll start to unerstand what I mean with the State of Self Actualization. Think of it in terms of Dragonball or Bleach as attaining Supersaiyan status or achieving Shikai and then Bankai...yea there's different levels of self actualisation. Thankfully the OVA came out as the anime ending wasn't very good. The OVA is sticking pretty well to the manga at the moment except for some minor things so yea we will finally get to see some pretty interesting things.
