I like Death Note manga better than anime or movie.
I feel quite dissapointed in the anime. It's not as interesting as the manga. The anime version talk too much and you can easily get bored. Plus, the graphic of the anime is not that good.

A really unique, awesome anime. That being said, by around the third episode or so, and all episodes thereafter, I really wanted something horrible to happen to Light. Heh.
Anyway, if I had to give some sort of criticism, it would be the somewhat lackluster character development. Light...Raito, or whatever, was easy enough to understand in that the motivation behind his actions came from his childish notion of justice. The thing that bothered me was that he didn't seem to want anything else beyond the whole 'become a god' thing. I mean he didn't (seriously) care about what happened to his sister, his father or Misa: He was just genuinely obsessed with his one goal. Generally, characters in a reasonably complex anime have multiple factors and motivations influencing their actions.
Ok, that's kind of a lame critique, but yeah, it's all I could think of.

The anime was alright on it's own, but I did prefer the manga. I don't know, something about the anime...was just off to me.

This was one anime which I really enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would. Who would have thought a show relying purely on intelect would be soo entertaining.
I am afraid though that younger people wouldn't like this show though, because they would have to understand everything that is going on, which can get tough as more characters are introduced.

This anime good, good graphics and best music.

Top 3 in my book definetly, i cant believe the thought that went into the series, the animation was great and so were the artists skills of putting together a realistic setting. Im very very pleased with how the series played out.
I liked the first 27 or so episodes very much, but after that, it went sharply downhill. The ending was pretty good, but those last 10 episodes seemed to drag on and on, and hold pretty much no substance. Still, it was quite good, and the characters and art style was awesome. Forgive me for saying this, but I liked how there wasn't any of that exaggerated facial expressions throughout the series, and gave the anime a much more darker and sinister tone.

Death Note is one of the best animes I've ever seen, and this is coming from someone who read the manga, which is equally as good. I found the anime's animation to be some of the best Japan, or any country for all that matter, has to offer. The voice acting is supremely good (anyone who has heard Mikami in the last episode would agree), the plot is ABSOLUTELY INGENIUS and the best part about it is L.

Or my he is the best one... at the same Level of elfen lied.. death Note has lunatic and paranoica a history very original..complex..asometimes but that caused that it put to think to us and to sweat... I congratulate by this series... is the best one than there am visto..ya we will see if with time another one surpasses it.

Anime wasn't interesting as manga. Manga dialogues were longer and somehow i think there were missing parts in anime. When it comes to main story, it was the one that has no rival. Story was open to dispute but it bypassed this ethic issues. I enjoyed strategic dialogues and moves of main characters, in contrast to the title which i'd never start if my friends weren't recommended.
This may be past anime for yall but it's new to me since Adult Swim started airing it but I think it's really cool. It appeals to my inteligent inner "L" side
Well just when I thought Deathnote couldn't get any better, a second Kira appears, I just watched episode 11 on adultswim.com and now I can't wait til ep 12 and I might end up watching all the episodes online just like I did with Naruto and Bleach. How much I loved Deathnote just doubled today, wow.
