Death note is so AWESOME!! the writer has a cool imagination so creative...i want another similar anime to come out
And who gave you a reason to Light or "L" because the truth Light was very wrong in my opinion because it can not be a world without evil as it lose balance, and there would be instability and even though their intentions were was a damn good crazy, but good in general the series is one of the best I've seen, very good!

I think Death Note is great but its get a little overplayed. I mean I read the manga waaay before the anime came out and before it came really popular over here. And then they made the two movies and I watched them and then the anime came out and by this time I would be hearing the story for the THIRD TIME. I mean yeah the anime is great and all but I just feel like the story for me is kinda old.

Death Note is an amazing anime, it absolutely difference to other anime, sometime it was scary but it was really amazing, but it was difficult to understand sometime!I have seen some movie with the same kind of psycho but this one really make me have a big headache!

I think that Death Note is a pretty decent anime, although I would have liked it a lot more if Light had survived and Near and the rest had died. Lights ideals might be way off the scale but i still don't think what he decided was wrong, rather the opposite.

I'll be perfectly honest, even though I knew (well, I was 87% certain) that Light wouldn't win, I still cheered for him the entire time.
I actually just finished this series, FINALLY, today. I started watching it...well, a long time ago, whenever Adult Swim started airing it, but then I missed a couple episodes in the early 20's so I stopped watching.
I have to say that at first, I HATED the last episode. I was so pissed off that Light lost his cool, something he had never done, and basically went crazy. But when you think about it, I guess that kind of mental strain would do it to anyone. Anyway, I actually liked how it ended (Apart from Light losing) and how Ryuk was the one to finish him off. I had actually completely forgotten about that promise, it was so early in the series. The only thing that bothered me, although I suppose it was done this way on purpose, was how Light was silently mocking Near for not testing the notebook, when the reality was he lost because he didn't have Mikami test it. That seems like a very uncharacteristic oversight for him, but maybe at that point he was too confident.

a psychological and thrilling trip that no other anime out there takes you on. Just to follow Light's thoughts and watch as how he thinks everything through thoroughly before he does it is amazing. It is like looking into the mind of an extremely intelligent killer planning his next step.
It's just fun to watch how Light gets himself out of the current pinch with another cool plan.

Death Note was an awesome anime. Why oh why did it have to end?
Me and my husband sat down to watch it one day over the internet and found ourselves not being able to stop. We went on a death note marathon for about a week or so. We would watch when ever we could. When the kids were asleep, napping, school, we would load them up. Like someone else said every episode kept you wanting to know what was going to happen! It was really well written. I also loved the whole battle of the brains story line. They had awesome side characters also. The manga was also really good. I enjoyed the ending in the manga alot better than the anime ending.

I love deathnote ,both manga and anime.
I saw the manga at first,because of the hikaru no gois ending.As the time I saw hikaru no go is late,when I began to read the DN,it had ended,thenI almost took a night'time to see the whole manga. I was expecting its anime from then on.
I like the anime as the music is always good.It's in harmony with the story very well.
among them ,I especally love the L's theme giving me a feeling of intensity and a sense of urgency .I love the instrument using there~
In the anime the assosiation of L and Light Yagami become more stricky,in my opinion.Maybe in the escope of the death of L,some scene may make people think in another way= =.Also ,N and M is so lovely in different ways.The cast of M is one of the casts what I like.
To come to the film,I see the second part,I think the cast of the anchorwoman(Light's classmate before) is so beatiful .And I also like the cast of the Light since he played Okida souji .

People dont like the second story arc as much of the first for one reason.
I believe the main reason for this is the death of L.

Excellent anime. Whole series was great. yeah i was super pissed when L died, but who wasn't. They kept it going good though. Definitely different then any other anime I've seen, and if there's more like it let me know. I've yet to watch either of the movies, i'm just not a big live-action fan, though i could see how it could work with Death Note better then say bleach or naruto, since no super special effects and such.
