Death Note!!!
I love Death Note.
One of my ultimate obsessions.
I bought the Guide.
I like what's on there. I reccommend it too.
I'm watching it again.
When I first watched Death Note, the tension was so great that i was doing some complicated math (i was calculating when Light would die([]-[])9).
My favorite characters are Ryuk and Near. It think Mello's ok, but somehow not the favorite character feeling.
I sure blabber a lot. LOL

I think that the series was meant to make you think: Does the end, justify the means? And then once it ended you could confidently tell yourself 'no it does not.' I liked the way that the series developed the characters, giving concise reasons for their actions throughout the show.
It also had a very logical progression of thought, and depicted how you can sift through information with a few simple but irrefutable pieces of evidence. It also demonstrated that ultimate power is not necessarily the key to happiness, but would conversely be a source of misery and paranoia.

This show is just absolutely amazing, another favorite of mine, I can't wait to buy the next boxset. Great concept, but what's even better is how far they take it in the story without it getting boring or repetitious, they always manage to keep it interesting and keep the viewer wondering what's going to happen next.
One thing I find with this series, is I cheer for Light, but at the same time I want to see him get stopped, it's weird. I have to say my favorite character from this show is L, one of the best anime characters to come along.

I recently watched Death Note, And I was thrilled not only by Light, but by the whole universe around Death Note, Its a very thought out plot, and that makes it more enjoyable to watch (In my opinion at least) And the aspect I love the most about Death Note really is the Psychological, not so much the whole detective thing, but that contributes as well. I think that L was my favorite character, is was very unique, he may not be as crazed as Light but I liked how he approached things in a logical manner, and just generally his personality, Sitting with his knees up to his head, his eating habit, and he even has good reason for them (Not exactly bulletproof reason but still).
And the Death Gods, at one point there were three of them in the "real world" at that point I thought, if Light gets a hold of that last Shinigami, whats going to happen? But he didn't. As for the whole Death God King thing, to be honest I don't get it, he must be some sort of leader (Father of the Shinigamis) What do I know, I have been wondering a little about that, since you don't see him that much.
As for the ending I've heard a lot of bad things, and obviously some spoilers, and I knew what was going to happen, so that took a little of the joy out, but I liked the ending, not a lot of series do that kind of stuff, and he was the villain, so I guess it came natural. But since this is not a discussion thread ? (Or is it?) then I'm not going to question a lot about death note and so forth.

I normally only like shoujo animes, but Deathnote was AMAZING. The theme is so deep and it really makes you think about humanity. Light's my favorite character. He's brilliantly intelligent AND good-looking. :D

That happened to me too when i first got into Death Note lol. I watched episode 15 not knowing WTF was going on but when I told my friend about it (since she was there), she told me some brief information about what was happening. I seriously am obsessed with Death note now after that day becuase everything about it was SO good XD.
I like L, Mello, Matt and Near. They're all SO adorable and awesome ^^. I might watch again soon though ^^. I might watch again soon though.

I like Death Notevery much... but only the first half.
After watching few eps, my friend told me that
..and after this, Death Note becomes boooring.
Ending is quite nice, but i didn't like it somehow.

Oh boy is been a while since I watched DN... What I remember is that it was a good anime if you simply accepted everything that happened... I think within the anime the things that happened might have seemed logical but... if you really think about it and not let them talk you into thinking that is it... the anime does not seem to be logical to me at all...
I just found Yagami to be somewhat unreal.. for the lack of the better word. I just cant imagine how a kid who was raised by a very family turn out to be someone that Light turned out to be :P (trying not to spoil it for others who have not seen it).

Manga>Anime. In general, and for Death Note. I still can't believe they made Matt's hair green. -_-;; Wtf? But I loved the manga, and my favorite character was and always will be L. He was just so interesting, and I loved the scene where he and Light got into a fight and Misa was like "OMG"! XD The ending was so sad, though. But I can't say it wasn't satisfying. :)
