Awesome anime! I wish they had did a motion picture of it. That would be awesome. Miaka and Tamahome were my favorite couple in the series. Miaka and Yui were so beautiful and Tamahome and Nuriko were very handsome. So wished they continued the series and made more stuff.

I agree that Fushigi Yuugi is a beautiful anime, especially when you consider the year it was done...My fav character in this series would be Chichiri...he is so funny at times, and so serious, and has a dark past too~

I guess my fav couple in FY would not be Miaka x Tamahome (Miaka is sometimes too childish and idiotic for my liking) Erm...perhaps it's Nuriko x Hotohori?

There are a number of Fushigi Yuugi OVA's...they are quite a nice watch~~ Check it out if you have the time xD

But I like the new series - Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden much more better than this one. For one, the main character is much more likeable than Miaka...she is wiser and stronger too o.o

I love FY too!! Nuriko is my fav character in the story. I agree with fye-lover that Takiko is more likable than Miaka...hee...hee ^_^

By the way, are they going to animate the manga Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden too? I haven't heard any news of it yet o.o I hope they do turn it into a full series >.<

Fushigi Yuugi is pretty much a classic.
My husband and I watched before we were even dating (and it got him hooked on anime ^-^). It will forever hold a sentimental place within my heart. Although personally I would have liked to see Miaka end up with Tasuke... although perhaps thats just my biased opinion. ;3

Fushigi Yuugi was one of those animes I got so stuck on that I finished it in three days. There was also 3 ovas on FY. Even tough Miaka is childish, there are times when she actually gets really mature.

I loved it very much..but it was really long..there was some episodes weren't that much of matter..but it was really good to watch..
