Elfen Lied
NymphWell, despite Lucy being good at killing amb, I don't think she would kill the only person she has left to love and her only friend left :P. I mean... she WAS willing to die for Kouta XD.
But she did kill his entire family(I forgot the reason
) and she seem to have like another personality who tempts her to kill(correct me if I'm wrong, I have a very bad memory. I think it happened in her childhood)

She thought that his family was the reason he lied and was leaving her. Sad really, a child like her introduced to the world with prejudice and hate yet, we won't do anything about it. I think I'd have done the same given the circumstance and given the power.
Me too

Okay, how about we revive this?

Wow, almost forgot about this thread.
As for discussion, weren't the two girls supposedly personifications of Nyu and Lucy, as if they reincarnated?

At first i was just shocked at the amount of blood... Then to fnd that I fell in love with the plot... World destruction weapon suicides to save man kid or ... man ... or was that another manga? sorry if its is

Hmm... you could say Lucy killed herself to prevent herself from destroying humanity, or to prevent giving Kouta problems with almost everyone wanting her dead.
Either way she made a sacrifice and it was emotional

Well, the thing about all that's good in the world is that there's also a darker reason to why it happened. But, let's not discuss that now. Lucy did want to stop and there was no way for her to be happy with Kouta.
The children, maybe they were clones of lucy?
or different diclonius children that she had met before she died.
also about lucy not having a way to be with kota and the others..I think there would have been a way it's just that she thought that it might be for the better(note: I still haven't read the manga.)

I'm not too keen on the clone theory, clones are supposed to age rapidly compared to their originals and based on the time that passed from when Lucy was captured and when Kouta visited her grave, including speculation of his daughter's age, the twins would be much older right? Possible diclonus children she met? Possible, but not to sure on my side.
You'd be right Rey. It's sad though, the way she chose.
Also, look up the manga. It's better than the anime. Just read the last 10 chapters or so, the major changes of the anime from the manga are the personality of Kouta and the ending.

Well, it depends.
4. Telomeric differences
As cells divide, their chromosomes get shorter. This is because the DNA sequences at both ends of a chromosome, called telomeres, shrink in length every time the DNA is copied. The older the animal is, the shorter its telomeres will be, because the cells have divided many, many times. This is a natural part of aging.
So, what happens to the clone if its transferred nucleus is already pretty old? Will the shortened telomeres affect its development or lifespan?
When scientists looked at the telomere lengths of cloned animals, they found no clear answers. Chromosomes from cloned cattle or mice had longer telomeres than normal. These cells showed other signs of youth and seemed to have an extended lifespan compared with cells from a naturally conceived cow. On the other hand, Dolly the sheep's chromosomes had shorter telomere lengths than normal. This means that Dolly's cells were aging faster than the cells from a normal sheep.

Also, take Solid Snake as an example.
