After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

I'm not going to really get into things. I've seen allot of people post their collections on here, and I love viewing all of them. I thought I would add mine to the stack. I have one small room in my house I use just for anime storage, I call my "genshiken room". I consider it temporary display storage till I can create a oversize and stable array server so I can rip and dump all of my dvd anime into active digital storage instead of having to use the DVDs. Then I can box it all up and use the room for something better. I'll note that day is swiftly approaching, however I'm going to need at 20tb server before I will be able to meet current and future storage demands.

The gensihken room I submitted last year for the i-otaku collection contest, and won one of the runner up prizes which wasn't bad. The pictures I submitted can be viewed here:

Here is a larger version of the genshiken room:

If you want to see an updated close up of what's on the shelves they can be found in the following 4 pictures:

And here is the computer desk up in my room.

There is other stuff, but I don't really feel like taking pictures of it.

Let me know if you have any questions or anything.

Thats a crazy computer setup. I want something like that too but unfortunately my room is too small to fit something like that. Its a scary thought that you did not win the contest with all of them books and posters you have makes me wonder what the winner's room is like.

Wow, I'm speechless, you must be really devoted, one way or another, I'd have to agree with akihinosama, what would the winner's room look like. Your collection is breathtaking I would have to say, do you mind if you told us how long you were collecting it? Also, maintaining the room must be hell; how'd you keep all of it clean?

Well, I'm just curious, hope you don't mind.

Eh, it's not hard to keep it clean, it's just a storage room. Once every 6 months I dust everything, and q-tip the figma, that's about it though. I've been collecting the DVDs since DVDs started coming out in 1998 or so. The very first anime DVD I ever purchased was Tokyo Babylon lol. I used to have a large VHS collection, but since analog has no future, I gave away my entire VHS collection at a local anime meet. As you can see all of my american stuff is on one of those shelves too, and there is a clear lack of american DVDs. Believe it or not I never bought any american DVDs (not counting last unicorn and transformers):P I just sat on my rear and waited 9 years for blu-ray .

That's amazing, you should've just kept the VHSs for collector's value, too bad. Err... I think you misspelled "Unicron" As for Blu-ray, it's pretty much useless now isn't it?

I kept the collector ones, like the ones I had signed, and historically relevant ones. The rest were useless, and wasting space. I spelled "Last Unicorn" right. I think of blu-rays the same way I think of ripping CDs to mp3. I rip the raw file to my file server for viewing on computers around the house. Also makes it easier to dump a blu-ray file to my notebook for travel, instead of bringing blu-ray disks with me. Hard drives are so big these days, 4-5 blu-ray movies with all extras cut out don't even make a dent on notebook storage. 10 years from now there will be barely any physical media left. You will pretty much stream everything off the net with your fiber connection. Unfortunately once the world finally gets to that point, the compression will be very high to enable quick streaming of 1080i picture over the net. I'm a bit of a quality freak and would prefer to have as little compression to the original as possible. So to me, blu-ray is the final physical media, and I'm going to take advantage of it while it exists.

Sweet Mother of God, your computer layout is over the top. I like it. I'm assuming you don't have to share the space with anyone else. I like how organized everything is; I reread so constantly that it's impossible to keep everything looking nice and neat. I'm very envious of your storage area, though, as I have hundreds of books and CDs.

Oh, by the way, I wish my DVD store had your selection. You're quite well-stocked.
