This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

Tsuzuki, English isn't my first language so I'm not perfect myself and I am aware that I can make mistakes too... Sometimes I get annoyed by my own sentences. You should have noticed that I used "like that" three times in my last post and that annoys me

It just looked silly to complain about peoples' grammar and then make a grammar mistake yourself in the title. So I just wanted to be sure it was a mistake.

Yes, there are times when anther person's grammatical mistakes would irritate me (especially in a debate).

However, you should consider the fact that forums are a place for people to enjoy themselves. No one cares about formality (sometimes, I don't either). People just want to be themselves. You shouldn't look down at others for using terms like 'kinda' or 'somethin.' That's just stupid. For those of you who don't know, it's called casual talk. If you don't like communicating in an informal manner, then just don't.

Also, there is a chance that the person you speak to is not even from this country(America). You shouldn't penalize others for their grammatical/spelling mistakes. If anything, they are improving simply because they partake in general discussions through writing. The more a person reads/writes, the more he will improve. We all can agree that that much is true.

Zyd
I understand when someone uses LOL or ROFL, it's just shortened, but when they always speak like that, or better yet like this: lulz i are t3h l33T masT3h of t3h HaxXors

This is the only manner of speaking I have no tolerance for. I do not even understand what is being said here. I hope you made up those abbreviations to make a point. I also have very little tolerance for curses. For people to curse in between every other word is a blatant way of letting the world know how much of an idiot you really are.

Ultimately, my point is that you should be more tolerant of others and not penalize them for the things they say and the way they say it, unless if they curse.

Hmmm, well as some have explained, it's odd to start a topic post complaining about grammatical errors when the title itself has a grammatical error -_-.

Anyways, I understand the need of good grammar, I always try to write as I've been taught, but I can't just condemn people for not doing so as well. If it was within the forum rules/codes, then yes, I would be bothered with people's lack of grammar, but I don't believe this forum has any, so I'm fine with it in general.

Obviously I do get somewhat annoyed when a person speaks a whole paragraph with poor grammar, but I understand that there are many people here who do not have english as their first language, due to the fact that they live in other countries (I myself am not a US citizen nor resident). So I'm completely flexible and have no issues, but I agree with the point Tsuzuki explained; if a person was raised in an english environment all his/her life and had the proper teachings, there really shouldn't be any reason for them not to write adequately, but then again, I'm not here to judge people, but to have a good time with other anime/manga fans out there ^^.

As long as someone's grammar isn't too degraded that it's incomprehensible I don't mind at all with how people write their things in this forum ^^
Peace ya'all (XD) emoticon

For me, it just depends on what's going on. If they happen to just be playing around when they say stuff such as, "Me have go now." I don't care. I do know that I get annoyed when people use double negatives in their sentences, by which I mean "You can't have no soda!" when they mean that they can't have soda.

Hehe, I understand why you are bugged. It's kind of hard reading a paragraph with unsmooth grammar. I'm not very much annoyed by it but people do need to fix the way they write their sentences. If they don't fix it now it will be a habbit. I hope they don't write their essays with that kind of grammar. But sometimes I also did the mistake myself, for example instead of writing food I wrote foot since the two are so close and my mind keep repeating the same word in my mind so I kind of just remember the sound and not the word.

Nope, I'm not really bothered by it, seeing as I'm guilty of it sometimes too ;) When you're talking about forums such as this which includes people from many different countries, English may not be their first language and therefore grammatical mistakes are understandable.
But in my country, computer and SMS words are starting to spill over to real life which is kinda worrisome. The current generation of kids are writing essays with abbreviations such as tmr, u, 2, 4 and stuff. It'll probably tick me off I'm a teacher marking their essays..
Generally though, I won't really pay much attention to such errors, so long it isn't a formal thing such as examinations.

Engrish is kinda sexy actually ^_^

I'm quite fond of foreign accents (in English) and different ways of forming ideas into words. Sometimes you can find some very interesting word combinations that are (or can be) quite poetic. Keep in mind that languages always evolve to fit the people... had it not been for this fact we'd all be saying thys and thous!

Also keep in mind that a public forum like this one will have participants from all over the globe. Most of these are from non-English speaking countries.

In general, yes.
I'm maybe not that good in english, but I try to do my best so my sentences don't sound too horrible. I'm reading everything through after writing, but sometimes I'm just not sure if it's correct.
I guess that you have to be forgiving with people who're learning english or any language and who're just not able to do better.
what really bugs me are people who live in austria since they were born making so much mistakes with our cases, because it's really not that hard to learn. and some people are just not able to form a correct german sentence, which makes me go really mad sometimes.
but I think that you need a good teacher whom you can learn from, which is really important in german because you have to pay attention on your spelling. what i think is really important is trying to do your best even if you don't have to. means: paying attention on your spelling even if you're not having a test.

I understand that, but some people write stupid on purpose, they don't bother checking for mistakes or using a dictionary once in a while... And again, I'm not judging anyone for their spelling, I just wanted to know what others think...

Yeah...
That really gets on my nerves but I stopped caring after talking to people.
Even so...I've always hated lol.

When people say lol, they say it out of a habit and they don't use to mean it.
Whenever they don't have anything to say, they say lol.

GAHH!!
*Kills lol*

Ah yes, that does get on my nerves at times. It's easier for us to understand if they wrote proper english, but they force themselves to write it incorrectly, thus making it tougher to read or just...annoying. If that's the case I understand and share your opinion.

Well, I'm not an native English speaker. If my English bugs you, you can just ignore it=D.
I hope my sentences aren't stupid to you. I will try my best to write correctly.
