I started vectoring with one of my favorite scans of Kazuki and was wondering if it's done well enough to submit here. please feel free to point out any improvements I should make.

Hummmm... if you ask me I think this is a really good vector.
I would just complain about some few lines in the hair are a little blurry (darker brown parts). But that's just being picky.
Some lines looks a little jaggy but it can be my screen.. Most of the time when I see jaggy lines other doesn't...
My only advice would be to use a uniform background so that people can extract the picture more easily.
And don't forget to read the FAQ about submitting a vector in the scan gallery. There are few rules to follow if you don't want to get your scan removed.
Have fun vectoring! :)

Your vectoring is fine so quality-wise, it shouldn't have problems getting into the gallery. but you can work on your lineart technique a little. for the most part, your lines are fine, but in some places, they are rather "wobbly". the better phrase for it would be that the line width isn't consistent enough (in how smoothly it transitions from one thickness to another...i don't mean uniform width, which is bad). some places where i see that are: at her chest, the back part of her collar, upper back part of her shoulder where the sleeve folds, the edge of her cuff, and, very noticeably, the line that goes from the heel of her hand along her thumb. ;]
about the blurred edges that zazou mentioned: whether blurring your shading layers a little is a good or bad thing depends on the person, but if you're going to do it, do it consistently. :O i notice that you blurred the shading on her orange vest but not her off-white blouse. you blurred the shading of her hair but not that of her headband...or the highlights of the hair. it doesn't work out that well when the same style isn't applied throughout. :x
oh yeah, because i'm freaky like that, i noticed when the image loaded that there's a tiny orange dot above the point of one of the zigzags in her hair highlight. (it's at the top of the point that extends about as high as the point of the brown shading underneath it.) i'm guessing it's the result of the vector mask lines on either side crossing over one another. it's a tiny issue but...lol xD;
looking good. :]

Hapanda-san! that's an excellent vector!! D:
uwah!
you should upload it on MT :3

Ya, just be consistent with the lines. I prefer to have my lines as closely similar as possible, but everyone has their own techniques. :3
