Awhile back, we had a thread in General talking about gene-altered fruit and vegetables, and I mentioned some of the strawberries that can be found at the local Kroger's grocery store.
Interestingly enough, these strawberries along with many of similar size were found in packages labeled "organically grown." Either way, I don't care--they were incredibly juicy and good.
The two pics show the largest one we found sitting in the palm of my wife's hand.

Wow, such giant strawberries! And here I am thinking how I can make fruits grow that big. Its a part of our graduation requirement to have a thesis and I want to make genetically altered fruits that will either taste like another fruit or grow big. Hahaha... nice strawberries, I wish there are such big ones in my country too cuz I love 'em.

My wife's hands aren't that small, and the strawberry was the size of a small apple. We get those size berries here pretty frequently. Once we had some blackberries as big as a thumb.
Next time, I'll take a pic with the whole packaging.
I think its because I live in a rural area (pop. 4000) and the grocers try to woo the locals who do a lot of farming.

...that's one big strawberry.. the only time that I've seen them even close to that size in Florida.. We really don't get too much for strawberries that impressive in Maine.. They taste good but aren't that huge.. Mainers are more blueberry people.. even though I really don't like blueberries..

I love strawberrys...big strawberrys 
Oh my gosh gime that,I am hungry.Oh but is it safety to eat it!Oho I can't believe it...a strawberry almost as big as your hand!
