Do you mean drifting like they do in the D1 Grand Prix Series?
If you mean drifting in real life then unfortunetly I don't drift, I don't have a drivers license yet (>.<), but I would really love it if I could learn it, it's so awesome to see those cars dance along the track.
I really love the drifting cars Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, Nissan 350Z, Silvia S15 and Toyota Supra.
But if you mean drifting in games then I have to say yes, I use a lot of drifting in racing games when I drive into corners.

I've seen people do some crazy drifts... >_< side ways all the way down a spiral road mountain... its like... nearly 90 degrees to the road all the way... but i think drifting in real life is a real challenge... one mistake and you're a gonner...
Does that mean people who answer this play games like Need For Speed Most Wanted and Underground 2? I love the cars there but its mostly look work... i can't afford one... >_<

Well, I drive a Nissan Titan so drifting is out of the question. I would rather not take my chances and just watch Initial D ^_^
I would love to go on drifting but 2 problems 1) AE86 is really very HARD to find. and if you could find one, its not for sale. 2) we dont have any place to drift like mountain passes. only slaloms like carparks though. Like what ive learned from watching and playing Initial D, weight shifting is the key to drifting and i wish i could test it with real cars like trueno :)

Well I've played those two Need for Speed's, but I drift more in Midnight Club 3 during the races.
They've made the drift mode in Need for Speed Underground 2 way to easy in comparison with the reality and btw in Need for Speed Most Wanted there's no drift mode.
When i get my car, i plan to give it a shot.. i know of a couple people who drift...
my plan is to get a mitsubishi lancer evo .. but, things dont always go according to plann o_o;;;

if your going to get an evo, choose the MR version coz it has more hp than the ordinary evos. ;)

Yeah the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Vi MR rocks, but it's a lot more expensive then a ordinary Evo Vi and I don't think that he has that much money for his first car. =)
Oh yeah you're right :) but I think its better to invest on something better than just the ordinary one. since if you already have the money, why not save just a little bit more? I think you'll have to add 5%-8% of the original price of the ordinary evo to get an MR. However, it also depends. coz since you want to drift, high hp doesnt really do much of a thing not unless you always race on a freeway ;)

a first? i doubt an evo'll be my first car ^^;;; but yeah, im going to save for an evo for a second car.. my first car will probably be a P.O.S. .. -__-;; anyone know of any good, cheap cars i could get? ^^;;; im still kinda new to this whole 'car' thing...
Nah drive fast on cars got realy old real fast ill stick to my bike now if i could just learn some more moves like my bro then then things would be realy sweet (side note i hate it when sme idiot in some sports car tries to race me when im on my bike its so lame)
It's pretty hard to find a place to drift where I'm living. Probably the only place to do it is in an isolated parking lot in a farm. Speaking of that farm, there's a long road that's exactly 1km long (I measured it in Google Earth). I might wanna go dragging there after I get my own car ^^

Noted. I was referring to how many people play games to substitute their need for adrenaline and speed... =P I really like the Mitsubishi Eclipse 1997... as well as the Toyota Celica.. .but these are more racing than drifting... =P
