As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Still simple..i understand you want to create an image of a sandstorm..but that doesn't fit to the pict that you used.
And if you wand to create a sandstorm,don't you think it'll be better if you create the desert first??

I would tone down the yellow, slightly. or try to add more depth by using orange and browns

Good, I will give my opinion you like many others, I think that the image you could put it more transparency, and I title with a similar effect (I don't know if I explain ^^U) by the others, which have said the other users to you, luck!

Text is okay, but the whole left side of wall is too plain. Need more variation in tones. Make it so the horizon is somewhat discernable, but not sharp at all.

Also, I'm not sure if anyone uses 800x600 resolution anymore..
