This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Most pointless argument. My coworker thinks that these walls and VECTORING is just easy and takes no talent... -_-

Not a fan of the stripes or the sparkles. The background is still kinda plain. Maybe that light pink from the upper left could be continued throughout the wall. In big bubbles or something.

It needs some fine tuning…

Try passing the free font in vector, it will make the lines nicer.

Adding more texture or elements to the background will make it more appealing.

^_^ i like the one with the sparkles! ^_^ What font did you use 'cause i heart it (the big swirly one).
u can't really see the green lettering very well... maybe a diff hue would be neat and i agree with the possible continuing of pink bubbles... although plain and simplistic like it is has a certain nifty tone aswell^_^
but if you decide to make the background have more... stuf.. well since she is a fasion holic you may want to think about working in things that have to do with fasion.. like a tube of lipstick, a bottle of nailpolish... etc... maybe... just a thought ^_^

Although you do say you like to keep things simple, AP usually doesn't XD But sometimes AP does XP But this type of background is too simple. Just a stripe background...you could put some more work into it. Maybe you could put some sort of decoration on the stripe wall? Maybe place a mirror or like a poster of herself on the wall? That'll make the background (and wallpaper) seem less spacious and simple ^.~ Hope that helps you, good luck~!

the angelberry thing is not random, btw.
it's actually that Ai Yazawa has in alot of her mangas, it's part of her work, and that's why i chose it^^

Hmmm, now it's too busy and the pattern is too repetitive. maybe have her in a room, put a picture or mirror on the wall, maybe a table with a plant on it. you could use that pattern as the wallpaper, but i would only have it on the bottom half.

i still don't really see the point of that purple circle on the left. i'm thinking either play it up more or get rid of it. and the only other thing that bugs me is the neon green text, i think you should pick a more flattering shade of green. maybe make the white text a bit smaller as well?

it's getting there :)

When I look at it, and the various versions you've made I get the impression you're just trying to fill space, tbh. I'm not a huge fan of raster lines like that, as I find they hurt my eyes, so maybe I'm swayed by that fact, but I would come up with a better bg.

What I woudl do is have a pink wall (as in brick wall :)), with maybe a patterned wallpaper on it, but something more abstract like lines or squiggles or hearts or something. I'd have maybe a rail across two thirds of the way down, below which was just pained pink, maybe. Then I would create one of those make-up desks with a mirror (she's applying lipstick with a compact). Or if I didn't fancy trying a mirror I'd try a bed, or possibly one of those large walk in cupboards. Or possibly a mirror with net curtains and light flooding in. Basically, I would put her in a bedroom.

Hope that gives you some ideas :).

HI,
after thinking about it for some time,
i've tried to look for stock photos and things that contain,
lamps, bed, mirrors,
i did find some, although they aren't too satisfying... i was afriad to blur of blend it much because it wouldn't fit with the sharp and clean wall right now so... this is what i have right now...
i'm gonna work on adding a dresser, mirror, and things like that
i've never done it before and well, i really don't know how it'd turn out

User posted image

so basically, this is a wallpaper then a strip of (modified) happy berry logo, as a thing on to of rails on walls..and so..the yelllow stip is the rail thing, then below it is more wall..painted or wallpaper i guess

at first, i had it all the way down, which was what i preferred in oppose to this version, but then i didn't know how to put the mirror and maybe more to indicate that it's a bedroom, or should i just have a mirror and is that enough? i don't know anymore...

but the yellow gradient at the bottom is suposed to be carpet..i hope it looks somehow like it ^^

alright, all feedback is welcome^^

PS> i tried to draw a bed behind her..somehow i couldn't get the perspective right and i was also wondering how to draw straight lines in photoshop ~~ it may sound stupid XD

lol, now that i look at it, the rail thing looks a little too wide maybe

I don't know how to draw straight lines either >_< so I’ll be looking for the answer to that too O_o….

Anyway I really like the fixes but looking at the wallpaper (in the wallpaper ^^) the top seems to heavy... usually a wall like that will have the paper with the bigger designs on the bottom and the smaller ones on top as a way of creating artificial space… just something to try and see how it looks ^_^

The texture does look like carpet and I think once you add some furniture in there it will become more apparent that it is carpet. ^_^ good luck ^_^
