I hope they make a movie or something where they give justice to the amazing trailer, it was so unfair to have that kind of trailer with amazing scenes and give none of them in the series except for the murders of Juliet's parents all the rest where just forgotten, such a pity.
I agree, the art plus the animation were awesome, when I watched the first episode I thought "wow this is going to be an amazing series", however halfway through the series the story development ruined it. I think it could have been so much better. The story started being slow and boring, specially those episodes when Romeo was sent to the mines. Besides I was extremely dissappointed because on one of the trailers there were some amazing scenes that didn't make it in the anime. I daresay the trailer was way much better, like that scene at the end were you see Romeo and Juliet fighting each other with the swords and then Romeo pulling Juliet into a free fall from the top of a high tower. Both of them dressed in the suits thay had at the end of the anime, that would have been a better ending than the messed up stuff with the tree. Also in the trailer the scene where Romeo sees Juliet in the night surrounded by the flowers is awesome, why the hell didn't they use stuff like that in the anime. I was expecting that kind of action, and in the end none of it appeared in the series. The trailer got me into watching the series, big big dissappointment for me after watching the last episode.
No offense at all, this is just my opinion about it.

Well, it's a pretty decent studio gonzo productions, so in terms of quality, it's top notch. But it fails as a love story I think...it just didn't have the punch I was expecting. It would, however, be better off named 'Final Fantasy' or something like that...because it seemed more like FF than Romeo and Juliet.

I tried to not buy this anime because it's too sad...but I don't know why...I am so interested with this anime and...That's really GOOD!!!!!!!

For what it was, I thought it was a pretty good anime. I didn't see any of the trailers for it, I just sat down and started watching it. And, without expecting anything extravagant, I wasn't really disappointed. The only thing I didn't like was the ending. I didn't like the whole "tree of life" scenario. Maybe I would have appreciated it more if they had developed that story just a little more. Instead, they kinda played around with it for a little while, and then when everything was said and done (once Rome & Juliet died) the tree of life was of little consequence. Instead of living in the sky, they took to the ground and were just as happy. So introducing that at all just seems like a waste of space. Other than that...good stuff.

Amazing anime, I highly recommend it. ^^

Wow, I've heard and seen this anime on sites, but it never really stood out, but it looks really good now that it's pointed out and I know more about the storyline. And since everyone says the animation is good, I really want to watch it now >______<

The character design is nice, I really like it. Plain, but pretty. It looks like an amazing series and I'm going to watch the first episode soon for sure.

Lol, my class did Romeo and Juliet last year in Grade Ten and honestly it was a tad boring, but just reading the epilogue for this has already captured my interest! Maybe I should go give it a look!

I love this anime but I never got to watch it till the end

Since the very first time I saw the cover of this anime's DVD I've gotten curious, and thought that it might be interesting. And so, I decided to rent it, and I'm so glad that I rent it. Even though in some parts it might be to fantasy styled, the ending touches me so much TT TT

I love this anime version of shakespear. The ending was sad & a lil happy. I think they made an anime version cuz they hated Montague so much, and they wanted him to die =P It's drawn very well and I love the OP but I listened to much to it. I'm giving it a 8.7 out of 10

Ohhh theres an anime on romeo and juliet! yay. its like perfect timing i saw this post because i have to read it! and i hate the book because i think the Romeo and Juliet are stupid ...and wow cool expressions!! this site rocks!
