Sad ending like in the book or happy end?
I haven't seen the ending yet. I cannot seem to find a place where I can watch it or not. I used to be able to watch it, but it stopped at Episode 22.
Anyways, to answer your question, I am hoping for a happy ending. They have changed so much from the play. I know everyone understands and knows the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet. However, I cannot see the ending being sad, especially everything that Romeo and Juliet go through.

I really prefer the happy ending than the sad one, but i think that it wouldn't be weird to see and increibly sad ending. I hope in ends well!

Yeah the ending is already out...although i believe that the groups that were subbing i t received cease and desist letters so they're not going to be finishing them...
I have mixed feelings about the ending though.
Oh well, still I was impressed with the quality of the background throughout the show, so if you still haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it.

I didn't like that whole idea about sacrificing for Escalus and for Neo Verona's sake... if they changed the story that much, they could have given another end... at least not a stupid death.. what do you think?

Well, to be honest when I first started watching this series I was really hopeful for a happy ending. But the more I watched (and considering all the freaking work I went through to find the last episode with english subtitles...) I realized it wouldn't end any other way, and to be honest it wouldn't have been nearly as satisfying if it had had a happy ending.
Either way I found this series extremely entertaining. Its differences from the original story are what drew me to it anyway, so I was happy.

Somehow, in a heck of a lot of Shakespearean plays, especially ones with action or romance, lots of characters end up dead or they commit suicide...
And, lots of sad endings are really the best endings, that is, if they're reasonably good. I think the sad one is a better, more dramatic ending, but sometimes happy endings are a better perspective, especially if the story's classic or involves romance

I haven't seen the ending of this anime...
But, I really want happy ending of this serie... I want to see Romeo and Juliet live together happily >.< flash back to the original story that this serie should have a bad ending... T-T it's so sad... But, I still hope this serie can have a happy ending... ^^

I've already seen the ending but I preferred a sad ending, otherwise it wouldn't be Romeo and Juliet.

Mellah, does that mean that the ending was a happy ending? I haven't watched the last episode yet. Honestly, I prefer a happy ending because there's been way too many sad endings that I've recently watched

If the ending is not a tragic, there is no point to call the anime Romeo and Juliet @~1@

Aah, that was a nice ending for this series. Not the best, but it could have been worse.
