So I went to go see this movie on friday night at the 12:30 AM showing. First it was freakin filled up more than I thought it would be that late at night. But the energy was sooo high in the El Capitan Theater that there was no way you could fall asleep. Everyone was very excited and a lot of people dressed up. They had the outfits from HSM3 on display in the theater which was awesome.

The movie was so great, I was going into the movie with high hopes, and was not disappointed. The very first scene is of Zac Efron in a close up shot. The freakin theater erupted with girls of all ages might I add screaming and stomping their feet. The whole theater shook, which if you know the El Capitan is not an easy task.

People have some wierd misconception about HSM being only for little kids and tweens. But there were people of all different ages, and not just like parents. I was one of them and I'm 23.

I didn't hear one negative response from anyone exiting the theater. Obviously numbers also don't lie, and seeing as this thing crushed Saw V you can't deny the greatness. And trust me I was very surprised to hear that Saw V was 2nd place.

Now I know that being a fan of HSM isn't exactly what the public says is cool. But who gives a cr*p about what anyone says. Thats the problem with the world. People are so concerned now a days about what other people think that they give up on things that they like. They are forced to hide their feelings about things because they are afraid of what other people might say.

Just admit it, Everyone likes High School Musical. If you say you don't, you're just in hardcore denial.

I have not watched it yet... but umm... my friends will make me eventually. I heard the story wasn't so bad. But i still feel the whole thing is a bit cheesy. However, I did LOVEEE the "gotta go my own way" song from HSM2. But my buddy told me there are no outstanding songs from HSM3 =(

I admit, i like then. \o/ I'm the greatest fan in the world...

Okay I don't like it ... I'm in denial...The music for the first one is catchy though but that's all that's good about the films. Saw the first one while babysitting thankfully I didn't have to watch the whole thing. Cheese makes me ill...

But I can imagion it has a very big following and loads of people go to late night showings. Lots of people love the cheese.

Pah say I. Being a guy, I probably don't have much of a say in the matter, but I can't stand genres like these. I burned backstreet boys posters for fun when I was younger, and the Jonas brothers are starting to look like the next candidate *evil laugh*.

No seriously, this is for 12 year olds. If you want to see a good musical drama, go watch Rent or Rocky Horror Picture Show.

You thought Rent was better than HSM3? I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinions

Ahhhhhhhh, I admit it. I actually enjoyed it after being dragged there.
I've seen far worst movies. It's defianently not a movie for EVERYONE to enjoy.
But it's ok, these kind of movies weren't meant for deep and rich stories, just light-hearted entertainment.

I am not a fan.. I admit I do still wanna watch it, cuz i havent yet, but i liked the first one, second one not so much.. but do i still wanna watch it to see how it is this time around.. who knows might I might like this one.. but i will never admit it to anyone though..

I'm so excited about this movie can't wait to see and thanks to your good ratings, lol I'll definitely go and see it this coming Friday. The first one was great but I didn't enjoy the second one as much and I have high expectations for this one. I will let you all know my opinion once I've seen it.

well, truth to be told, I don't like it.
It is kinda superficial, if you know what I mean. Just gives a lot of meaning to stuff I am not really into, but it seems that to the media it is quite appealing.

I guess I am different. I like other kind of movies. To me HSM is shallow, although one or two songs are fun.
Othe than that, I belive everyone is free to say and think what they want.
And me? I am in no denial, and I don't like HSM.

Fine people can say that they don't like it. BUT, they have to watch all 3 of them before they can state their opinions. You can't say something is bad or horrible if you have not seen them all.

It's just like people who said President Bush was a terrible president, and complained all day about it, but yet they didn't vote. So they have no right to say anything.

Now, people still have the right to say, I'm not into that kinda movie, or it looks bad, or something along those lines. But unless you've seen them all, than you can't technically say that High School Musical is a terrible/horrible movie.

Its just like me and anime. I don't like Mecha anime's for certain reasons. But I will still watch all of them before judging them. And yes while my opinion doesn't change and I end up not liking and probably even trashing on it later, I still watched it all.

So if you want to trash the movie, at least watch all of them before you do.

FallingAngel I have to disagree you don't have to watch them all. If you didn't like the first one in any series you're not going to like the rest unless they're radicaly different which usually they're not. Hence why I won't watch hostel 2 I didn't like the first one.
You just have to watch one or most of one then you can give your opinion.
If the second and third of HSM are differnet then pardon me.

I saw the first movie with some friends, saw the second one on tv, and I gotta say, my opinion about the HSM movies remained the same, from beginning to end.
I don't like it, and yet you don't see me bashing the movie.
I am just sharing my opinion, and to be honest, I regard that as not something bad.
HSM is having a great of attention right now, but I think that doesn't mean that EVERYONE has to like it.
I know for a fact I don't xD
