No cast has been announced just the producers. Supposedly coming out in 2009. There is a teaser website but there is nothing on it except a email subscription box and a super large poster of the one I have poster here.

Dose Hollywood have a chance at success? What do you think? I mean they have a huge fan base that they have to please and Manga, and an Anime to live up plus the TV show's misshaps to overcome... Dose it even have a chance?

I doubt they will need to please the manga and anime community as I believe this is not a manga/anime live action adaptation. However, they will need to please the crowds who follow the Top Cow comics I believe.

On whether it can make it big on the silver screen, that depends on how well the movie is directed and the quality of the actors. 2008 is the year of revival for comic book adaptations, 2009 as well and stretching till the next few years (culminating with the Ultimate Avengers movie). We have seen some really good comic heroes on screen movies like Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and the Dark Knight. So who knows?

Since the death of the guy who created the series, I don't think the followers, even by Mark Silvestri's standards really brought out the charm in it.

What I like to see though is maybe if this series will follow onto the Chronicles.
She will fight Darkness in the epic battle between gender superiority (both are like that, W chooses only women and D only men.) Now that would be great.

Well..im very curious about this movie..and wondering how it looks like when it turns into reality..does anyone know who is the actress in this movie? ^^

I have high hopes for this movie, as I am pretty tired of hollywood picking up a good concept and then destroying it by making a horrible movie (AvP2:R being a good example)
I just hope that they can capture the real side of the Witchblade.

Yah I haven't found much information yet. NO idea on the cast even for consideration of who might play what role. But it should be interesting.

Well, if were talking Hollywood, and given the Ecchi nature of the original, we can hope for some very attractive ladies :)

Although really, I wonder why this show out of so many would be picked up for a live adaptation. I guess if they are just using the concept, and they don't have to follow the original plot at all, then it could be OK (depending on the writers, obviously). But I think there are a lot of better shows/concepts they could have picked from. I watched Witchblade and liked it, I just didn't feel it was a great or very memorable show.

Please very please have Emily Scott play the lead role, now that would be awesome as a career boost from Topless modelling to actor career.

My opinion is simple, this film, with its large story, has a wide potential, what's more with the Origin series, whereby tells the story of Cleopatra (once a wielder), and the stories like Xena (warrior princess apparently relied on Witchblade to become who she was), it would be great to chronicle the storyline on how the Witchblade came about.

However, at current, I am more of a current tide of new year movies to come
