Prom night
(I'm not sure if I could post this on the forums)Prom is suppose to be special since it only happens once in your life time. One of the traditions for prom is asking a date ( I don't have one. isn't it sad? ). I'm wondering how its going to turn out for me. 2 weeks for me to prepare for the day. It couild be different for some. For some people, how was your experience of prom? any advices? I'm aware in some countries they don't have prom. mostly Asia.

I didn't go to prom :( Kind of regret it, but kind of don't.

Well, in my school prom isn't once in a lifetime... each year the prom is for Juniors and Seniors, but especially for Juniors, so you can go twice if you wish. Anyway. Eh. Prom isn't a big deal for me. The only reason I went is because friends just dragged me there, not literally but you know.. :P and I just wanted to see what the fuss is all about at Prom... I got there an 2 hours late [due to some ..stuff, and stayed for like an hour], so I missed a lot hahah... it was kind of a waste of money actually; dress + ticket. I didn't go with a date either, it was more like with friends in one group. My school's prom is in about 2 weeks, and I won't be going this time :P
I wouldn't know. ^^; Here we just go with a group of friends.
Well in Australia we don't have prom night, the closest thing we have is grad which a night for the year 12 class (last year of high school) to have a formal dinner, dance and so on. I wore a yukata to mine last year

Well...here in our country we do this prom twice a year..it will start when you are 3rd year..okey..well..during my prom..mmm..to tell you the truth I only goal is to eat and to eat..I didn't have a dance with a girl..I dunno what's wrong with me..but I do dance in disco not in a sweet..okey.let me give you some of my friend tip on what they do..well..first is you need to wear a descent dress linke long sleeves,slacks and black leather shoes(I think you know that)then before the prom day they ask permission of a girl to be his date during the prom..that's all..hehe..well..good luck to your prom..

Well...I didn't have a date either the last time I went to a prom.
I find it more fun to be with all my friends...

I kinda liked my prom nights. They were not so bad, but would have been more enjoyable if I was not so damn shy.
My prom night suck at all i went to late to the ceremony my parents get mad at me the food was awful. the only cool thing was ending up eating a sandwich in a gas station at 3 am....
Here on my country is not a big deal, we just had a good party.
I had a great time though :D
I danced A LOT, even I had to take off my shoes XDDDD, I was like a crazy XD (but don't take it in a wrong way!... and, yes, I was a little bit drunk xD, but nothing more!!, just... HAPPY XD)
I think that lot of guys that night saw my panties xDDDDDDDD
I miss my classmates!!!!! T___T

I may be 15 and only in 9th grade and went to one dance (because my friend wouldn't leave me alone about it) which is crappy as heck because the school has a low budget, but I think proms aren't that important. People always say that the prom is an important part of their life. Why is it so important. All it is is a dance, so why make a big fuss over it. There was a time before the prom was around. What did those people do. They probably sat at home. I just think the prom and all school dances are a waste of time, money, and energy. I will never go to another dance.

@Deoxys114: I respect your oppinion but I just dont feel the sameway. Prom is the celebration for graduating. It is important to me because its the last celebration with my friends at school before we leave. We might not see each other again in a long time.

I found that prom is just another extension of high school. if you enjoy bring at school with friends you will probably like prom. If not you probably won't. i have had some proms that were a blast then there are those that are not plain and simple.
You're probably gonna enjoy it, especially if you get to dance with someone who is special to you...I sure as hell enjoyed Prom Night.
