Born from the fountain of love
Hi
I change the bg : add more clouds and keep the color scheme :

I indeed tried to draw a sunset with a sun ^^ and red color of their hairs was because the sunset reddished treir hairs (i use color adjustement on the vector ) i erase it but i think it looks odd like that ...
What do you think about it ^^

The coloring is good (of the bg and characters). i personally feel you could use a few less feathers and get rid of a couple of the birds. the left side is pretty bare now, maybesome romantic text? coming along nicely. :)
Well crap :P I just wrote a whole message, I press submit and BAM an update to the wallpaper and a new comment :P
Nice to see that you you used the 'sunset' theme, I'm not really sure now what can be done in it, im pretty tired and all so I will look into this matter tommorrow. The development for the background is at least starting to move ^_^ Goodluck!

Hello,
Erm...added more clouds? Ok I can't really tell that they are clouds since they just look like blurred white brush strokes to me. They need to be clarified that they are clouds. Meaning they should be sharper. Take this wallpaper for example.
Link to Example
See how his have more definition for clouds. If this is a bit much then I recommend just going for an abstract background but I'd hate to see you give up. You did such an awesome job on the vector I'd like to see a background that compliments it beautifully. Try to work and practice with the cloud idea and use examples as guides to help you make them look appealing ^_^.
Have a nice day.
PS: If you need help with the background I'd be happy to collaberate with you.

The background has definitely improved, but Chaox is right about the clouds. It looks more nebulous to me than an actual sunset sky. The birds are an interesting addition, but rather than just scattering them randomly, why not try to fill the space at upper left with a flock of birds flying in formation or something of the sort? Although I'm not sure it's the right kind of birds for that.
Looking closer, I just spotted a little sliver of shadow on her chin that looks out of place. It doesn't agree with the rest of the shadows, you should remove it.
Keep up your good effort! This wall has so much potential, I too would hate to see you give up. Ganbatte!

I sure won't give up on this one ...i want it to be my masterpiece ^^
I worked very hard on the bg ^^ And comes to this :

I now work on the text ^^ ... i think calligraphic text fit the most with the theme ^^
What do you think about it ??
Don't you think it would be better to change a bit the colors of the 2 characters (like i did before ) since they are under a sunset ??
Chaox : Thank you but i really want to make this wall alone ... i must improve my skills in bg :D thanks very much anyway ...
Onizuka : Your post is out of the subject ... and considerably inconstructive ^^ And i don't even know if :
is positive or negative lol

Hello,
Much better. The clouds actually look like clouds now. I like the work you've done with the birds which is a nice touch. I feel as though something is missing still in the background though. It looks so good but I can't help think there is something...missing. Anyhow you'll want to work on your scan a little to help "blend it." Since you have a very soft background it is only natural to make the edges of you scan soft. Plus the "lighting" doesn't work anymore. If it were blue skies then it would but you've got a sunset hue to the wallpaper now. What I mean is they stand out in color.
- A little and very useful trick I have is to load the selection around the scan.
- Create a new layer and fill it with any color thats from the background.
- Move this layer on top of the scan so that it is just a basic shape of the scan and the color you picked.
- Now for the blending. From here I'd like to let your creativity come into play. Below are some of the blend modes I use for this little trick.
1. Multiply
2. Overlay
3. Color
- The result may not be what you want when you first select it. Thats because you need to play with the opacity.

- These are located (in case you don't know) where I circled in red. I like working with the second one (Fill) because it produces the results I want ^_^.
Thats it. @~1@ Long post. SORRY! I guess I just really want to see this wallpaper shine when its finished X3. I do hope my post was helpful ^_^.
Have a nice day.

Do you mean it missed text ? or something else ??
How can i soften only the edges of the scan ??

Hello,
No not the text. The sky or background is missing something in general. Can't put my finger on it though XD. I'm a bit picky about text but its your wall so I'll leave that area alone.
There are several ways to soften edges on scans.
NOTE: Duplicate layer and hide original so you can prevent yourself from ruining it if you make a mistake while trying these techs.
- Use the blur tool around the edges lightly and make sure you have a soft round brush and not a hard edged.
- Duplicate layer and apply gaussion blur with a setting of 1.0. Move duplicate under original scan and then apply a blend mode to original scan (Overlay or Soft Light) and mess around with the opacity.
Those are two good ways of going about softening the edges and scan in general. I hope this is understandable by any means.
Have a nice day.
PS: Let me know if there is anything that you don't understand.

I prefer the brown hair, was more natural I think. Don't know if the characters have the same hair color, I think it would look better if the colors were different. And maybe use less feathers. But your vector is awesome and i love the background.
Hi elfe!
I dunno if I'm imagining things or what, but I can see some faint lines on the sky, looks like unclean joints of tiled images. Anyways, it's too hard to explain so I just circle them as you can see here
http://img115.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fromthefountainoflove4wdci5jx.jpg
The vector is absolutely beautiful, would love to know how you manage to get something looking as beautiful as that. The only things I can spot is the mis-shadowing on the guy's elbow and on a tiny line on the girl's hair - I've circled these as well.
Gotta agree with edetxu with the hair colour, I think it would look a ton better if the hair colours are somewhat different, even if it's just a different shades of brown.
Massive improvements since your first post - congratulations, almost there :)

Woahooohhhh *stares*
*praises* you have crazy vector skills o.o *bows*
o.k, your overall wall. is coming along very nicely, imo, the only thing that i suggest is to but something dark in the background (something like a dark silhouette of landscape to give your wall some contrast in colours :3) other than that, you've done a beautiful job on this

Huh!? nothing really need improved I think. It is 100% nice job already (senpai are all too strich, but it is obviously a high-"look" on u)! Though I did not watch this anime b4, but you have been "forcing" me to watch it definitely with your amazing vector skill! There's no way for me to suggest already. II~ ^.^
