This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

The motivation is beside the point. How the quantity has been articulated is what the commentary referred to.

Ok, I would like to ask if there is a good way to vector without the use of Photoshop. If so, which freeware program would be best to use and how? Everywhere I look there seems to be a tutorial for Photoshop, but not other programs XD (Perhaps I'm just not looking hard enough -_-). Oh, and here's a wall I recently finished. Apart from the lack of vectoring, any comments?

Actually Illustrator is the program to best vector...

Work on your extraction of the scan, don't make random swirly brushes that don't add to the wall, an work on the BG in general. That light thing in the corner does nothing and makes the scan look just randomly plopped onto a BG without being blended.

My apologies XD I'm very new to all of this. But I obviously don't have Illustrator anyways... Well, actually I have all the CS2 programs, but they won't work on my computer currently (long story)...

Anyway, thanks for the comments ;) Greatly appreciated.

Usualy in class i bag Macromedia Freehand only because no one uses it(just like fireworks... oh how i dispise thee) but its another option for vector. BUt remember Aleatz Vector is not the is all and end all of walling. Its just another way of getting hi-quality images, or redoing images that are great but LQ.

As for the wall ill have to say the swirls are OK. but they are pointless in the context you have put them in. way to fix: Change the background. The light sourcein the back is too harsh especialy with the multitone blue zooming out from it. Stick with your theme (Ice and snow) and make the BG and swirls match, either in style or with a genral pic.

Hope ive helped you out.

EDIT:PS you posted before i did. there is a illustrator CS2

Ok, I shall try Inkscape (if I can find it). Thank you very much. Oh, and I gave this wall a second attempt. C&C?
