The space background ain't exactly amazing due to the amount of black areas in it. But then, with the amount of "space" backgrounds being churned out every week in other forums (some of them astounding with those nifty overused planets), it's hard to do a good space wallpaper.

Same goes with the field background. It's nothing special. Ever since Photoshop 7 came out with the grass brush, the amount of "convenient" field backgrounds have been on the rise.

My verdict? Avoid field backgrounds (unless you can do one without using the grass brush and have more than just a field and sky) and space backgrounds (unless you can break out of the stereotype space wallpaper, prefereably with the aid of other progs like 3dSMax).

Ok, after asking kalico, i know more about manipulating stock photo :)

Looks cool. Are there going to be any birds in the sky or anything?

Find a way to make the stock photo look cartoon-y. It would be nice if you added some stuff in the background, like birds and/or a Gundam.

EDIT: Oops...you already manipulated it. ^^;; The background is still screaming "stock photo" at me, so you might want to paint over it with Photoshop. You can go to http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/11073280/ and use her tutorial to make your grassy field.
