look Rabbit that ones got a crown lol I need some input on a background!

Well I have a good start but, I have no idea what I want to do about the background. I did dabble with drawing Metro City but I couldn't do anything to the quality I wanted.
I'm open any suggestions about the background or anything else in general for the wallpaper? Heres the wallpaper

First I like to say that the extraction needs improvement. The lines of the "fire" from the first astroboy scan are jagged and need work.
I also suggest to get rid of the anime scan of Astroboy and just use the render in front of the wallpaper.
My input for a background would be to create a scenic background. He is flying so I suggest to made an air background with clouds, birds and such things.

Just to let you know the "fire" isn't from the original scan anyway I created that using the brush tool. I'm not totally shocked that its doesn't look perfect but, thank for the input on that. ^_^ I'll take your advice and just concentrate on the 09 Astroboy and get rid of the 80s Astroboy all together. Thanks for the help I appreciate it immensely. :D
