It looks pretty good, just check out Deviantart.com for some awesome brushes, but make sure you give credit in you description. Maybe more textures too? Hope this helps!
Remove the ghosting - twice the same character on one background has no use, also remove the black brush. Looking on her clothing colors, something with a sunset would fit in more.
I agree with akiranyo about the ghosting image.
As a little site note I like to add that the scan looks blurry and grainy.
You need to clean it more or get a bigger source of the scan.
