Heya :)
It does feel a little...flat. I'm guessing you don't want to re-color the characters completely... maybe you could try changing the overlay over the characters so it contrasts a bit with the background.
The image on the left doesn't seem to have much depth to me, maybe because there's not much variation in the line width.
Good luck :)

Erm..Is it just me or what, I see "part" of the wall or that's the actual size of your wall? It feel like missing something...
I dont know why, but I have the Same Feeling. I thought, maybe I should use Shadoweffects to make a Contrast.
Or(like Ayje said) I recolor the Character.

Its just cut off from the spoiler, in firefox, you can right-click and go to view image to see the whole thing.
Not sure about IE though... might have to save it.

I don't think that even the recoloring will make your wallpaper acceptable. As you yourself figured out, it lacks quality. Practically this is not even far from a manga scanlation which has been colored to red. With that also comes that the whole compostion is loosing his meaning, cause is much resembling a manga page as a wallpaper. So if you want do something from this one, learn to vector and take only the big character on the left, cut everything else down.
But in my opinion for a starter is better to select a colored high resolutions scan from the gallery, where cleaning can be made with common photoshop options.
Vectoring is not that hard, but good vectoring yes, especialy if the source has a weak quality like yours. Another tip - do not add character names or series title on walls, they are not needed there and just clashes with the rest.

Unnn...
Well...
I should use Scans instead of a manga Scan...
The Problem is, it gonna take awhile to "buy" scans, because It looks like I did something wrong and have -33 Papers now. (It was more negativ Paps, but I write so posts and Revies...
Also I dont really know what Vectoring is (maybe because my Photoshop is in German...) Could you show me some nice Tutorial for Vectoring?

I think you can change your Photoshop language..though the best way would be re-installing and selecting English from the start.

Its a pretty...detailed guide for a first timer, you might be able to find something yourself you can work with easier.
Akiranyo is pretty much on the mark though, for a first timer, starting with a high quality image is the way to go. Working from a manga scan you've got a lot of work to do just to get it clean, even then its basically just line-art and not all that interesting without additional work.
You mean,
I should Use High-Ress Scans for the Wall and do additional Work....
Well, okey. I'll do it. and thanks for the Tutorial

Also, you don't have to get scans here if you have negative papers. Not to be denouncing AP or anything -_-

AP is a great place to find good quality scans but it's not the only place on the net you can find some.
Just make sure you're using an original art from the author or some of the accepted drawings (more info in the FAQ)
Negative papers come when you have submitted a wallpaper that has been rejected (-100 for each wall that has been rejected). Again in the FAQ you'll find more information about how to get papers and how to avoid fees.
Good luck in your wallpaper.
