I just saw the latest episode. What made you guys like this anime? I'm not sure why I like it but I just cant stop looking up images for it and surfing different forums I've found. Has anyone read the light novel? I think the first 2 are already translated (I saw them for the online site of my bookstore, unfortunately there not at the actual store). How does the light novel compare to the anime?
Yuji really needs to figure out that Shana likes him. Why is it that in all anime's the female falls in love with the male but the male is so thick skulled to even notice. Hell, Kazumi Yoshida announced her love right to him and he isn't doing anything. Shana announced her love as well but apparently he didn't hear it. Anime characters are kinda stupid

The light novels are really different from the anime.
The first novel concentrates on the fight against Friagne, and Margery doesn't come in at all until the second book. if you've seen the movie its basically the same as the first novel (with the exception of Margery) I'm pretty sure the anime is just dishing out all the bad guys in the novels (I think there are 10+ light novels in Japan already)

In japan there are 14 light novels in the main story and 2 light novels that are a side story ones. I'm going to go down and special order all the ones i can find. According to my local bookstores website (Hastings, not sure if you have one out there) Shakugan no Shana 1 came out on 04/17/2007. Shakugan no Shana 2 came out on 10/16/2007. I really hope it doesn't take that long to translate each of them, I cant wait that long >.<

I don't really like how the anime is turning out at the moment,. I haven't yet watched episode 6 but the first 5 episodes are moving SO slowly! =S It kind of fails as an action anime because of the lack of action and yet it also fails as a romance anime because the characters are so predictable and undeveloped. I hope the sieres picks up the pace and gets a better storyline. Season 1 was a lot better in my opinion.
There are a few jokes here and there that are really funny. (Pretty much all the jokes that WEREN'T already in the first season) so its still not a BAD anime at this present time especially if it starts to pick up the pace.

Man, 5 episodes that aren't worth it, seriously, the first season was FAR much better up to this point, since the plot development started since the beginning and here... it is pretty much stuck. If the show does not get any good by episode 8 I will stop wasting my time watching this crap. At this rate, it is gonna end up like (or worst) ZnT II (and THAT was bad -_-)

and it wasnt really a summary, since it was a bit different then the anime series
(i think it was the plot from the novels, but that's just a guess)

This show's alright, though it's a bit too commercialised... if you look at it, it has a cute girl, flashy action and romance... all targetted to hook up teenage boys that are the main audience for anime... though the story's a bit confusing... and there are lots of unnecessary characters like yoshida kazumi
the 2nd season's really good graphically, though i must agree that so far the 1st season is way better in terms of plot development and action... 2nd season so far focus too much on romance

1st season is wayyy better than season 2 but its still early on so theres hope. These past few episodes have been painful to watch but hopefully this arc ends soon. We need more Maregry Daw :D

Shakugan no shana was a good series its just that i feel the director for series 2 has just lost the plot. The story seems to be sidetracking more and more with every episode. Its turning from an action anime into a love comedy anime!
I hate the damn fillers, where's the action?!!! I hope the next ep. has action, since the series is boring me to death right now!! Like ep. 7 was horrible, no action, just Ike going crazy!! Anyways... The first few eps. were awesome, but when I started watching, I'm like what the hell!! Is this a recap ep. but it wasn't so I was relieved, I hope this series gets better in the upcoming eps.
