Last Chapters of Shakugan No Shana 2

Only a very, very small handful of shows that I've seen have had satisfactory endings, and this wasn't one of them, imo. But that doesn't mean Shana 2 was bad... the action scenes were well done, and it had some nice character development, particularly with Keisaku, Ehta, (however that's spelled,) and, surprisingly, Ike. But the pacing seemed off to me, and the actions of many characters were poorly explained.
-With all the dramatic lead up to the arrival of Pheles, and then both her and her little clone get KO'ed in one hit...then she leaves Yoshida with a suicide-thingy, which she neglects to use...
-...and Bal Masque takes direct action only in the last three episodes, and a lot of time is taken up just by Shana and everyone arguing about how to get past the barrier. (Season 1's final episodes, though also rushed, seemed more satisfying, if only because of the somewhat meaningful interaction between Hecate and Yuji.)
-Bal Masque is essentially defeated because they put the brain from Hecate's socially-challenged faux body, Konoe, into their greatest weapon. Why Hecate was surprised when things didn't work out is beyond me.
-Actually, Bal Masque's entire plan made not sense to me. Sabrac needed that multiplying guy and the guy who turned into a cannon for what reason, exactly? Why use a faux body that looked exactly like Hecate? (Granted, after some initial suspicion the protagonists stupidly decided to overlook this, but still...) Also, the first few episodes of season two seemed like a simple re-introduction to the show, rather than anything that connected with the central plot.
Um, in short, Shana 2 had its plot failings, but I think the side issues, such as Yuji's continually coming to grips with not being human, the contrast between Shana and Yoshida's attempts to win Yuji over, (in spite of his total lack of response to their feelings,) and the split between Margery's henchmen overshadow this. ... . in other words; the small things, relationships and daily life, move the story forward more than the main conflict (Bal Masque) does. Did anyone actually read all of this? If so, can someone tell me if the Shana manga is substantially different than the anime? I'm just curious.

Everybody should watch episode 21 Sns season 2 over and over again, the combo of Joint and their merging power action and also the moment when Shana is going to confess to Yuji is awesome~

the novel would be a more interesting thing to read.
Also thought the ending was left a bit too open. Not many questions answered since first series (like what is bal masque's true goal).

I think that too
Well see nothing realy happend. Yuji can still learn more and till now there are still some questions left ^^
And who the hell said that yuji choose Shana?! This isn't clear too!
Iam full of hope there will be season 3 and maybe 4 but iam not realy shure about that it depend on what happens in season 3 so ...
There is this guy in yuji and he still a newbie dont you think?
He could never fight alone against some one who's stronger than a avarage tomogora >.>

I was a little disappointed with this series, I must admit. The main problems were the filler-like episodes with Konoe and similar episodes just focusing on the main love triangle. While the Shana/Yuuji/Kazumi conflict was exciting in the beginning, it has gotten lame since nothing is ever done with its potential.
Another thing that frustrates me is that, with all the time wasted on arcs that lead nowhere, we have learned few answers to the many questions posed by the first season. The action was good, but so much of it felt pointless. I was excited to see more of the Silver, but in the end this mystery still doesn't have a satisfactory solution. If Shana is getting a third season, I hope they will focus more on the plot and less on endless love triangles.
To be fair, this season did have its heights. I liked how Yuuji has learned to cast spells and properly wield that sword. His determination when he defeated the lower grade Tomogara knowing that a more powerful one is lurking out there – that scene in particular stood out to me as awesome.

In the last episode is like yuji choose shana. But it never show if is him. The only that we can see is that shana smile because she see someone, I hope that is yuji.
It could be a 3 season, I hope theres another one. The only what we can do is to wait for news from Japan.
God we need more shana

A little disapointed. I don't think the ending would be simple like that. May be it'll be better in season i(I hope)

At the end, I think U2 and Shana will live together~~~
Noirlol > You are a lolicon fan.. thats obvious .. :))
I think that there will be a season three as we really don't know the why and how Yuji got the silver flame, the ending was too far open too...and the books go much further as well...I wish I could read the books...grrr...
