Final Fantasy XII

... so i guess i need to start a new one.
well, atm im only a few hours in and one things has become clear. if im going through potions as if they were water to a fish, ive not leveled up enough. the combat is interesting, but, i need more time with it to a good feeling for it. but, umm ... did the same person who voiced yuna in X voice amaili in XII?
the license system is a bit annouying, but, thats only because i forget to unlock stuff before trying to equip it. is there a quick jump short cut button ive missed some where? why cant i equip two weapons instead of a weapon and a shield?
barelly touched magic other than setting one guy to cast cure.
i need to sell my loot as well, i need more phoenix downs and potions ... and stuff :P
I havn't played it yet, but as of what I have heard. Its totally awesome. I heard that the graphics are pretty awesome too.

I played it once and tried to find a way out in the same problem but i didn't found a short cut
I have this game, and I do have to say that it is pretty sweet. Leveling up is not that difficult (just fight!) and potions are cheap. Just fight for a long time.
As far as healing is concerned, just have that one guy with cure to unlock more MP licenses so that you can substitute that for potions (in fact, I haven't used a potion since the beginning of the game. magic takes care of that ^^b).
Unfortunately i don't think that there are any shortcuts for the license board. You just have to purchase all that you can.
Finally about the weapon equip thing: I wish I could dual wield swords, but I don't think it is possible in the game. sorry.
have fun with it though d^^b

Im enjoying it, combat wise it reminds me a lot of the KoToR series. leveling up with gambits is almost like autopilot. point in in the right direction and itll do its thing.
do you get more exp/lp for the higher chain? and how do you combo? comboing seems completely random.

I got this game when it first came out. i was so excited for it but now, i'm not that interested in it anymore. my first impression was that i absolutely love the graphics. the license system was a little annoying because i have to work on both the weapons and the ability board at the same time and that means that i have to sacrifice some things for one or the other. i also got a little bored with doing nothing but hack and slash with little story bits on the side. i think i'm just getting tired with role playing games or else i'm just tired with final fantasy titles. for the last few final fantasy games, i've become more bored as each game progressed because the story just doesn't excite me as it used to when i was young.
This game is awesome. It's a long adventure and it plays similar to an MMORPG minus other human players. It is really cool though.
I've got the game almost beat. I'm doing some mark hunting before going onto the last dungeon. XD It's been really awesome. The graphics just amaze me.
As far as the license board goes, there isn't an easy way to unlock the licenses. You'll just need to save up the LP for them.
For your guy with cure, I would recommend opening up more MP augment licenses along with the higher up White Magic sothat you have access to Curaja and what not. Esunaga is good as while for later on since a lot of the enemies you'll run into while inflict status ailments.
You cannot duel weild unfortunately. ^^;

This game gets way too tedious later on in terms of customizing armor LP skills and stuff. I quit like mid game :[

It doesn't if you plan ahead what you want each character to be/do. Like for Balthier and Fran, I knew Iwanted them to be my long range users, so I made sure to unlock those weapons licenses for them. WHile Penelo and Ashe make better mages. ^_^ I will admit that it takes some planning, but if you do it right, it won't be that tedious later in the game.
Its pretty good but i'm still not very kean on the battle system, they should of just made it turn based but instead of having random battles make it so you can see the enemy and then when you bump into it you go into a turn based battle.
Think the older final fantasys were better storywise and gameplay wise, the story for ffxii seemed kinda dry, i mean basing it on a nation being taken over by someone and then wanting their freedom from it wasn't a very good choice...
The LB was good though, being able to choose what you learn, although the weaponary and armour and stuff part of it was a bit annoying, buying something from the shop and realising you hadn't got the lisence for it. xD
I should really complete it... had it for nearly 8months now and still not completed it... i think it was the battle system which annoyed me at times which put me off it. xD

I'd say this is my favorite outta all the final fantasy games. Ive ben playing the series since FF i on SNES and when I first heard about the new active battle system in XII I didn't think i would be all that good. However once I got used to it, I found it was much better designed and easier to use then the traditional FF battle system. FF XII also features a great cast of characters, an amazing plot and not to mention the awesome licensing board (which seems very stupid at first but as the game progresses you'll love how easy it is for any character to learn vital moves/spells) all in all FF XII is a great addition to the series and more then makes up for square enixs many poor game releases lately

Eh, not one of square enix's better titles but still pretty good nonetheless. The new twist with the license board is actually a more refining part to the game as you can choose to what you want a character to do or just max everything like i did _ _x. Anyways those with LP problems there is a glitch in the game you can take advantage of to farm LP and EXP read it on gamefaqs or just get golden amulet ( i think?) which triples the amount of LP gained. WIth hits in hand, maxing the board wasnt really all that hard, so thats just my input on this...
Actually its kinda...disappointing.alot actually.
i wont say i like how they 'kill' the old heroes of summon magics...
anyone?miss ifrit?shiva?ramuh?odin?especially bahamut?
the one we have in FFXIIl are disappointing.
have loot will sell...the system make me poor...my LP isn't enough.
and those character you don't use don't level up...flying monster can be annoying without certain skills...
all for all, this game is made for the onlines, not a gud @~home rpg...
i started to accept the stuff they have in FFX and came to LOVE it alot, but not this one.
sorry~
STILL!~
Ashe is SooO!!! CUTE
.it's quite the 1st time we have a warrior princess you know!
mostly they're the summon and white magic type which we all like.
but Vaan ISNT!![[]-(-_-) emoticon []-(-_-) emoticon](http://static3.animepaper.net/images/emo/yellowcard.gif)
his brother Rex and Ashe's honey is much better,no?
(is e--x making s----e off?)

I think it´s a really good game... but I´m a little disapointed. The battle system, characters and the graphic was nice but the story was a little too short for me... Vaan wasn´t a great maincharacter... older FF got some real maincharacters.
