Well this one is a simple question if you were the president, prime minister, king, queen, emperor of your country that would you do and why!?
what laws would you make change or get rid of?
what would you do for fun?
would you make your friends high ranking people?
if you renamed your country what would you call it?

Build tons of race tracks, that's the first thing that comes to mind...I can't really think of anything else outrageous off the top of my head because I can't really see myself as the president/king/emperor/prime minister. I wouldn't give my friends the top positions in government unless they had training in that specific area or else everyone will just think you're biased and the public would just hate you for it. I never had a thing for politics, it's a lot of boring work, I'd much rather go in and actually build the race track instead of managing it from the office.

Whoa, it will be wonderful if I could rule the world, I would make everyone must go to school but don't have to take exams!So I could enjoy my lovely life with everyday manga and anime without worries, sound a bit crazy, right ? But I love it!

I regreted the I couldn't learn japanese earlier so I could try study it at uni, or take a few month in japan to practice and improve my japanese, what a pity i am!huhu

But I really admire japanese tradition and culture, everything are protected years for years without a scatch. I wish in my homeland they can do it to but we're soo poor, there are still a lot of problems in my country, and it becomes more difficult to think how to resolve it quickly and smoothy !!

Well I think I'd get a number of advisors, ordinary people who no nothing of politics, to help me keep in touch with what is really going on in the street and homes of the average citizens. Sometimes people in government have great ideas, but they are too idealistic and would never work in practise, these advisors of mine would hopefully help me see that. I'd also try not create a law that would be difficult to enforce.

To be honest, I wouldn't want to rule, too much hustle. All I would want is to be independent. Everyone wants to be rich and famous, but I'd want to be rich and unknown. Just imagine, you're rich and no one cares! That's the best life there possibly is! All these big time celebrities don't have much of a personal life, they're always being stalked by someone and they're always in danger. Why would you want that?

If I were as ambitious as Lelouch, then I would surely cook up some scheme that would involve stripping religions and cults from my country, and so be remembered infamously by some as the evil bastard who will burn eternally in hell, while others may later realize just how ridiculous religion was and begin to focus on humankind's true purpose and potential.

But since I'm far too lazy for such an outrageous venture, I think I'd prefer to rule a Caribbean country somewhere in Northern South America. I'd immediately create as many jobs as possible to help end the poverty they face, and maintain ties with Canada to get good deals on Meds. My work accomplished (perhaps in failure) I'd retire happily on some eastern coast of the Caribbean and live out my days until I caught Hepatitis or drown in a Hurricane.

I would try to eradicate corruption, because for me that is the cause of poverty and hinders the growth of a country. It will be very very difficult, but it's worth a try. Also, for fun, I would make local TV channels broadcast animes! We only get to watch mainstream animes here and so very little/old. Most of them are also reruns. I think we really need more anime..

dont get me started on how i wish that were true >_< sometimes too involved like what we did with Cuba(cough bay of pigs) or the Philippines or people we put into power like Hussein or that crazy tyrant they put into power in some country in south or central America my dad helped with trying to get em out i cant remember the details all i hear from him is yak yak i fought in dessert storm to help get Iraq outta Kuwait and blah blah other stuff. or what about positive things like food and supply drops in poor parts of Africa the christian missionaries an doctors in Africa and other parts of the world like Cambodia an other places. give me examples other than hear say from haters (yes i went ebonic and said haters) to support your argument and maybe i will respect that statement as plausible lols

This very question is meaningless and I would turn down such power
because I know that no man can handle that power well.

If I were the ruler, the first thing I would do would be to remove my position... in this day and age I think the idea of official "heads of state" or what have you are outdated for conducting the matters of a country. Sounds kinda bizarre, but I mean really think about it... why would you want to leave the fate of millions of people's lives in the hands of a single person?? Let's hope it's a doctor hehehe, at least they'd have a sound intellect, a solid education and experience caring for and saving people's lives.

If not removing the position altogether, I would enact measures to ensure only the most capable individuals would be able to earn the position... those with leadership, a solid education, good ethics, etc. But not just that, there would be trials and tests to overcome in order to earn the position... not involving how well you can wrangle with pork-barreling in your district or how good you are at fundraising for your campaign, but more like resolving ethical dilemmas and the sort. Our leaders should be held to higher standards than having "good connections", "old money", or simply "good entrepreneurial/business sense", the way it usually is these days. They'd be graded by Nobel laureates or something... :P

And not just that, it probably ought to be made a matter of civic responsibility to participate and work directly in government (as much as I'm loathe to the idea)... completely remove the idea of "me and the government" and making it "me and my government" again, allowing citizens to no longer be so clearly divided from the functioning body responsible for conducting matters directly affecting their lives.

u urself said what all the things that you guys did wrong... i don't think i need to explain that... i have nothing against the American people.. i was commenting about the government... there are a lot of good american people in countires like Afghanistan, Kenya, Congo etc trying to help the people... but i won't say the same about your government...

do you know the main problem with american strategy in Afghanistan is?? it is a fact that you guys just kill everyone.. including the civilians, you just bomb entire villages killing women and children.. so naturally they will hate u.. and this hate will lead them to the hands of militants... and the same goes for the your strategy in Iraq.. and other unscrupulous strategies in Africa so that you can control the worlds oil reserve.. most of the dictators in the world has American support... including the former dictator of Pakistan..

so don't tell me that the worlds hatred towards America is baseless... your government needs to learn how to stay away from other countries business...
